General Hospital Recap February 16: Lucas Goes Off On Marco, Britt and Jason Secretly Meet

TL;DR: From romantic Valentine’s dates to explosive accusations, Port Charles was anything but quiet as Maxie learned the details of Nathan and Britt’s returns, Jason secretly reunited with Britt, and Lucas confronted Marco in a heated arguement in today’s General Hospital Recap. 

General Hospital Recap Feb 16

At the hospital, Britt told Nathan that Anna must have had a breakdown. He agreed and said whatever proof she had, she wasn’t getting it from Faison. 

Just then, Liesl burst in claiming to have joyous news. “Are you sitting down?” she asked. “Clearly not,” Britt said dryly. Liesl told them that Maxie was awake and encouraged Nathan to call her.

As Nathan tried to process what she was saying, Britt told her mom to pump the brakes. Britt pointed out that they didn’t know if Maxie had even been told about Nathan; she couldn’t just answer the phone and hear his voice.

Liesl ignored Britt and told Nathan that he was so caring about other people’s feelings. “We’ll follow your instincts,” she decided. “And mine?” Britt said, reminding her of who said what, or that she was even there. Liesl glanced over her shoulder in Britt’s directoin but that was the only acknowledgement she got. Liesl assured Nathan they would go slowly, but it was clear she thought he and Maxie needed to be reunited as soon as possible.

Carly Thinks Michael Was Tricked

Carly and Jason went for dinner and talked about Michael signing the custody agreement. She blamed Ric for having an agenda. Jason got a message from Spinelli, who needed to see him.

Spinelli showed up and told them that Maxie was awake. Carly left, and Spinelli told Jason that he was worried about what would happen when Maxie found out that Nathan was alive.

Jason wondered why Spinelli didn’t have more faith in himself. 

True Love Always Wins

Spinelli was having a drink at the bar when Liesl came in. She told him that he wasn’t needed anymore as Nathan and Maxie would be reuniting soon.

“True love always wins,” Liesl added. Spinelli suddenly got a burst of confidence, said he couldn’t agree more, and they clinked glasses.

Jason had gotten a message with a boat, a snowflake, and a heart, and went to the cabin. He found Britt there, lighting a fire while waiting for him. “You cracked my code,” she said. “It had to be you,” he said as she smiled.

Jason chided Britt for taking a risk by sending the message. “Time can be stolen from us at any moment. We shouldn’t waste a second that we have together,” Britt told him as they began kissing.

Valentine’s Day Dates Around Port Charles

On their triple date, Sidwell reveled in the attention from Ava and Lucy. The two tried to keep their tempers in check, but the competition was on. Later, Ava got a call from a buyer for Sidwell’s art, and she made a deal. She and Sidwell left for the gallery; Lucy chose to stay behind.

Kristina, Molly, and Alexis met for dinner, and Molly told her mom that she had written a book — and what happened with Cody. After her daughters left, Carly arrived.

Carly told Alexis she knew about the custody arrangement and was less than impressed. She, however, knew that Alexis was doing everything she could to keep Scout. “Don’t have to like it to respect it,” she added.

At the axe-throwing place, Michael and Jacinda had a Valentine’s date. Ric also brought Elizabeth there for their date. She seemed less impressed than Jacinda, who dove right into having fun.

Elizabeth and Ric had a good time chucking axes. Later, she thanked him and said it was the most fun she’d had in ages. “Stick with me, kid, we’ll do it more often,” Ric quipped. “I think I just might,” Elizabeth said. Ric kissed her. 

Across the room, Molly and Kristina had come in for a drink and spotted both couples enjoying their dates.

Brook Lynn and Chase shared a Valentine’s Day dinner and talked. She was thrown off when Chase asked her what she would do if she were Maxie and woke up to find that Nathan was alive.

Brook Lynn said that she would feel sorry for the future guy because she would forever and always choose Chase. They leaned across the table and kissed.

Felicia Explains Everything To Maxie

In Boston, Maxie thought Felicia must be mistaken about Nathan, but her mom said Anna proved it was really him and that he had come back from the dead.

Felicia told her that they had Nathan’s body exhumed, and she talked to him, and they were certain it was really him. She told her the whole story, including Britt’s return.

Maxie told her mom that she watched Nathan die, and there was no explanation for that. Felicia told her to take her time in processing. She suggested that Maxie rest, but she was worried she wouldn’t wake up again if she did.

Felicia soothed Maxie til she fell asleep, but her phone rang so she went to the hallway to answer the call. Felicia was happy to hear from Nathan, told him that Maxie knew he was back, and that they were returning to Port Charles the next day. “My daughter can’t wait to see you,” she said.

Lucas Confronts Marco For The Truth

At Wyndermere, a very irate Lucas blasted Marco for what he heard, and he wasn’t taking anything less than the truth as an explanation. Lucas hollered at him and said that it sounded like he was threatening to kill Britt if she didn’t do as ordered.

Marco admitted he had been talking about Sonny and begged Lucas to understand. Lucas screamed at him that he had believed Marco to the point that he’d turned his back on his sister.

Lucas told Marco he was leaving, but Marco stopped him and said that he couldn’t. Marco wanted to explain and tried. He said that he had agreed to work for his dad because he wanted to avenge his mother’s death, and losing his mom, he thought, was something that Lucas could understand.

Marco admitted he realized he wanted revenge as much as he wanted Lucas, and he lost his way from who he thought he was, bringing the relationship. Lucas warned him he couldn’t have both him and have blood on his hands.

Crying, Marco begged Lucas not to leave him and promised to stop everything else. Marco said that as soon as the project was done, he and Britt would be done as well. He asked Lucas to believe in him and extended his hand. Lucas apprehensively took it.
