General Hospital Recap February 13: Maxie Knows Nathan is Alive, Jenz’s Triple Date, and Lucas Catches Marco — Again

TL;DR: Maxie is awake and receives life-changing news about Nathan, while Jenz surprises Ava with a dinner guest. Lucas is rocked by Marco’s secrets, and Lulu admits her feelings for Nathan to Brook Lynn in today’s General Hospital recap.

General Hospital Recap Feb 13

Lucy went to Wyndermere to make up with Jenz. She apologized for earlier and asked him for another chance, including getting along with Ava.

Jenz said he would try again, but didn’t want any expectations or commitments. He invited her to dinner, but said they had to make one stop along the way.

Spinelli Gets To Boston

At the hospital in Boston, Maxie didn’t understand everyone’s reactions to her waking up. Felicia explained she’d had a heart attack and had been in a coma.

Spinelli walked in and couldn’t believe his eyes. He rushed to Maxie and hugged her. 

Felicia wanted them to meet with the doctor before getting too excited, and he confirmed that other than being a little weak, Maxie was going to be okay.

“You were praying for a miracle. I’d say you got one,” the doctor told them. Spinelli and Felicia embraced and cried tears of joy.

Felicia and Spinelli knew that Maxie needed to know about Nathan, and Felicia wanted to be the one to tell her. They joined Maxie, Georgie, and James in the hospital room.

Maxie Gets Caught Up

Spinelli had some one-on-one time with Maxie and told her that Lulu and Brook Lynn were getting along. She thought that was the best news she could wake up to.

Spinelli was flying back with the kids, and Felicia planned to stay with Maxie. Once alone, Maxie told Felicia that it was so great that James was calling Spinelli “Dad” now. Felicia agreed that James and Spinelli had a great relationship.

“But when James said his dad was learning how to horseback ride, he wasn’t referring to Spinelli,” Felicia told Maxie. Felicia told her daughter that Nathan was alive.

Ava Confides In Nina

Nina came to work and found Michael changing his shirt. She assumed he and Jacinda were christening every surface in her office, but Michael said he was there to see Nina. In Nina’s office, Michael privately asked Nina to take it easy on Jacinda.

Ava came to see Nina about Jenz, and admitted that she had feelings for him — and so did Lucy. Nina warned Ava that she had a bigger problem than Lucy: Sonny would never be okay with their relationship. Nina gave a disclaimer that she was completely against it, but it was nice to see Ava with a little glow.

Michael, Jacinda, and Jenz

Meanwhile, Jacinda asked Michael when he was going to tell her about his agreement with Willow. She wondered if he made a compromise because of her and how she’d affect him in court.

Michael said he did take it into consideration. He said he was going to tell her that night on their date, adding that he hoped she wasn’t too upset to go out with him.

Jacinda said she wanted to surprise Michael for a change, and she would pick the place. “Deal,” Michael smiled.

Jacinda opened Nina’s door and said they had a visitor. Ava was surprised when Jenz walked in and said he had a dinner proposition for her. “I accept!” Ava said immediately. She held his arm as they walked out, and she gave Nina a knowing look over her shoulder.

As they entered the lobby, Jenz added that someone would be joining them. Just then, Lucy walked in and said she called Metro Court and they had a table for three.

Lucas Tells Elizabeth That Marco Lied

Lucas found Elizabeth getting ready for her date with Ric and didn’t have much to say, except that he was the last person to give dating advice. Lucas said he realized who Marco really was and what he really does. “Pretty much everything,” he said.

Lucas shared that he overheard Marco and Sidwell, and it sounded like he was his father’s right-hand man. He said Marco had been lying to him since the day they met.

“The Marco I heard talking to Sidwell…that’s not the man I fell in love with,” Lucas said. Elizabeth told Lucas that Marco’s feelings might be the reason he’s not telling him the truth, and could be trying to protect him.

Britt’s Plea to Marco

Marco brought Britt her medication in the lab, and she noted that her needle had changed. She asked if she could see for herself if it was being properly stored.

Marco said he’d have to ask his father, and noted that he didn’t want things the way they were for her. Britt told Marco that if he really loved Lucas, he’d tell him about the lab, or he could lose him when the truth inevitably came out.

Britt pointed out that she had to work with her dad, but Marco had choices. She couldn’t understand what he’d be getting out of it, only what he stood to lose. Marco told her to get the job done so they could all get on with their lives.

Brook Lynn Catches Lulu and Nathan

At Lulu’s, Nathan moved in for a kiss, but she pulled away. He understood but suggested that if her place wasn’t the right setting, he’d find one that was.

Later, they were talking about it when Brook Lynn came in and noticed it was a moment. Nathan left, and Brook Lynn asked Lulu to tell her there was nothing going on between them. 

Lulu told her that Maxie was her best friend, and Nathan had been gone for seven years. “You’re rationalizing. I’m right, aren’t I?” Brook Lynn said. Lulu admitted they had feelings for one another.

Brook Lynn told Lulu that what she was doing was wrong and that people would get hurt. She said if she and Nathan pursued a relationship, she would lose Lulu forever, and would deserve to.

“Believe it or not, I’m trying to do you a favor, Lulu,” Brook Lynn said. She advised that if nothing had happened with Nathan, then to keep it that way.

Just then, the phone rang. “I have the most wonderful news,” Spinelli said, “Maxie woke up.” Lulu gasped and told Brook Lynn and they both welled up in tears of relief and happiness.

Meanwhile…

At the docks, Marco was on the phone with Cullum. He reported that Britt’s medication was administered for the day. “The next time we meet, I’d like to revisit our conversation about Sonny Corinthos,” he added. 

As he hung up, Marco turned and saw Lucas behind him. 

Britt came to her office and found Nathan waiting. “I’ve got some bad news. Anna Devane is convinced that our father is alive,” he said.
