General Hospital Recap

At Lulu’s, Dante told Rocco he wasn’t allowed to hang out with Gio anymore. Rocco argued it and said that Gio had nothing to do with his arrest. “Don’t play dumb,” Dante told him, claiming Gio was a bad influence. Rocco told Dante that he had it all wrong, and he couldn’t just cut his brother out of his life. Rocco turned to Lulu for backup.

Lulu agreed that Dante was trying to protect Rocco, but he didn’t see it that way. Rocco fumed that it was no different than what Drew was doing with Scout. “What gives you the right to say who’s my family when you walked out on me and mom twice!” Rocco shouted before storming out.

Dante asked Lulu if she felt abandoned by him as well. Lulu said she knew he was working for the WSB and then getting treatment, but she did feel like he was disappearing right in front of her. She insisted she’d never shared those feelings with Rocco in any way.

Lulu pointed out that Rocco had found out a lot of life-changing information about himself lately, and needed patience and understanding…as did Gio. Dante relented that he could see that Gio had been through some things as well, and Lulu told him that Rocco wasn’t going to turn his back on his brother just because Dante ordered it. Lulu suggested that he go talk to Rocco and make it right.

Ric came to Sonny’s and said it would be years before they shared a turkey, but thought they could share a drink; Sonny let him in. The two chit-chatted, noting how Kristina and Molly had reconnected. Ric knew some things were harder to repair, but he appreciated being able to defend Rocco.

Sonny was surprised when Rocco showed up and asked if he could stay with him. He brought him in to find out what happened to upset him and asked Ric to give them a moment. Rocco told Sonny about Dante; Sonny could understand his dad wanting to protect him, pointing out that he’d made bad choices lately. But he also told him he could stay there. As Rocco walked away, Sonny told him everything would be alright.

Later, Rocco asked Ric and Sonny how they’d feel if someone stopped them from seeing one another, but they said they had a history. Just then, Gio and Emma came in with a bunch of dogs.

While being questioned at the PCPD, Curtis had flashbacks to his conversation with Selina, in which he told her that he wanted Drew dead. Meanwhile, Jordan told Nathan that Curtis had no access to the murder weapon. Outside in the waiting area, Portia watched through the window. She saw Jordan taking care of things and decided to leave, but messaged Ava first, asking where she was as she wanted to vent.

At Brown Dog, Nina told Ava that Willow was married to Drew now, and her day couldn’t get worse. Ava winced that it might and told her that she’d told Portia that Nina implicated her. Ava responded to Portia’s text, telling her to come to the Brown Dog. Nina freaked but it got worse when she told her that Portia was on her way and they could talk about it.

Nina was furious with Ava, but she didn’t care. She challenged Nina to fix with Portia, who walked in the door at that moment. Portia didn’t understand why Ava would invite her with Nina there. Ava empathized with Portia but wanted to smooth it all over because she didn’t think the two should be enemies. Instead, Nina and Portia argued.

Nina tried to explain that she just wanted to show there were other possibilities than her daughter. Portia felt betrayed and said she was never on the PCPD’s radar, let alone a suspect. Nina noted that the truth was, she didn’t know where Portia went after she’d seen her, or what she did. “Is that what this is really about?” Nina asked. Portia asked if Nina thought she shot Drew.

“I’m just trying to take the spotlight off my daughter, just like you,” Nina told her. After they both claimed they’d do anything to protect their daughters, Portia asked her to consider protecting the child she was carrying as well. Nina was surprised to learn that Portia was pregnant, but that just fueled the argument more when Portia noted she couldn’t trust her.

Nina decided she didn’t need to be told off by Portia anymore and turned to leave, but by then, Portia was pretty worked up. She grabbed Nina and yelled that she wasn’t done with her yet and yanked her down the hall. When Nina got away, she breezed by Ava and out the door. Portia came out and told Ava that in case Nina didn’t get the message, to tell her that she would not be her collateral damage.

Across the pub, Emma and Gio noted that the last break-in had been a disaster and wondered whether he wanted to take the risk of another. Gio thought it was strange that the address just showed up under Emma’s door and asked if it was a setup by Dalton.

In the interrogation room, Curtis continued to have flashbacks. He told Selina to ensure it didn’t trace back to either of them and to make it look like Drew never came back to town. Selina said she normally wouldn’t consider it, but had a soft spot for Curtis. She promised she knew the perfect person for the job and that it would be done within the next two hours.

Jordan argued with Nathan about why it didn’t make sense that Curtis could be a suspect. Nathan went through his reasoning and the holes in Curtis’s story. Curtis accused Nathan of being on a fishing expedition. Curtis noted that Drew had many enemies and that Willow was arrested for a reason. Nathan told him that he was giving Curtis a chance to amend his statement before it was contradicted by new information. Nathan asked if his wife had seen him at the Savoy.

Jordan interrupted, saying that he didn’t need to talk about someone else’s whereabouts. Nathan wanted to piece together why Curtis called Jordan when Portia was working. Curtis said his personal relationships were none of his business and to call his lawyer if he needed to talk to him again, then walked out.

After they left, Nathan called the ADA to suggest taking a closer look at Curtis as a suspect. He wanted details of when he arrived at the Brown Dog the night of the shooting, as it could secure a warrant for security footage.

Curtis and Jordan went to the Savoy. He told her that he appreciated her support, so he wanted to tell the truth. He said he’d lied to the police and wanted her to know what really happened that night.

At their place, Laura told Kevin the details about driving home, her flat tire, finding Dalton in her trunk — and calling Sonny instead of the police. She told him how Sonny took care of everything and knew what to do. Kevin was sorry that he wasn’t there for her, and because of it, she had to go to Sonny.

Kevin didn’t judge that Sonny had taken care of things. He kept getting texts but ignored them, saying the Dalton conversation was more important. Kevin wondered if the body in the trunk wasn’t just a setup; it was someone sending her a message. When the text notifications kept coming, Kevin explained it was a young person who’d checked themselves into the psych ward at GH. Laura told him to go take care of it, and they could talk when he got back.

Later, Laura had a knock on her door. She looked through the peephole and was taken aback. Straightening herself, she opened the door and, with a locked jaw, said, “I thought you’d be stopping by soon.”
