General Hospital Recap August 7

At Metro Court, Drew met with Ava and was surprised she was cordial. Drew told Ava he testified on Curtis’ behalf as he wanted to make amends, and claimed he’d changed.
Ava told him that they didn’t like one another, but they had a common enemy: Sonny. In an effort to get Sonny before he got them, they decided it would be in their best interests to be allies.
Josslyn inherits JJE

Across the patio, Josslyn met with Hudson Parker, who introduced himself as an employee of her father’s. He said that she was named CEO of JJE as Jasper decided to take a long vacation sailing.
Josslyn told Hudson that she didn’t want it, causing Hudson to sarcastically rip into her about not being grateful enough of the opportunity. After telling her that he wasted his trip from Australia, he asked what had her so busy that she wouldn’t take the winning lottery ticket she was being handed.
Josslyn said she was WSB and assumed she’d fire him for the way he spoke to her, but Hudson told her to get him a list of appropriately qualified people to run the company instead.
Later, Josslyn and Ava ran into each other in front of Hudson, and although they had nothing nice to say, Josslyn called Ava by name, and Hudson paid close attention.
Jacinda sets her plan in motion

At another table, Michael arrived to meet Jacinda, and she showed him the restraining order. Michael blew it off, noting that he knew Willow would abuse her power and knew he was next.
Jacinda told Michael that she did something that would publicly hurt Willow and could help him in the long run. In the meantime, she wouldn’t tell him what she did because it was better that he didn’t know.
Meanwhile, at home, Willow told the kids they were going to an arcade. She chugged back the iced coffee that Jacinda drugged before she grabbed her keys.
Anna welcomes Joe to the PCPD

Joe was swimming in the pool when Anna asked for a word. She asked him how the court case went, and he noted its uniqueness with Jordan’s involvement.
Joe told her what it was like for him to work with Dante and trust. Anna trusted Dante, but noted that Joe’s partner, Cassius, couldn’t be trusted. Joe assured Anna that he was clean and trustworthy as a cop. He knew he wasn’t her hire and she was there to suss him out. Anna told him that if Dante trusted him enough to hire him, that was good enough for her and welcomed him to the PCPD.
Curtis looks ahead after the trial

Outside the courtroom, Curtis “gave fair notice” to Portia that he was coming over to see their son as he shot Isaiah a glare. He also demanded alone time with the baby. Marshall intervened before it went sideways and rephrased the whole request.
Portia told Marshall he was always welcome, and Isaiah told Marshall he didn’t mind leaving as he had to go to the hospital anyway. After Isaiah walked Portia out, Curtis thanked his dad for diffusing the situation. Jordan told Curtis she wasn’t going with them as she was going to see Anna.
Jordan went to Metro Court but ran into Molly and pointed out she could have treated her on the stand the way Martin treated Portia. Molly said it was important to her to know that she handled the case honorably.
Later, Jordan sat with Anna and got caught up. They talked about how complicated everything had been since Jordan and Curtis reunited. She wished that she and Curtis could get a fresh start after the trial ended.
Isaiah worries about what’s next

At the hospital, Lucas told Elizabeth that court went well for him but not for others. Isaiah came in, and he told them that if they go by the facts, he should be okay, but his emotions might have blown it.
Isaiah explained that what Martin did to Portia on the stand wasn’t okay, and it pushed him over the edge. Elizabeth and Lucas tried to cheer him up. Isaiah noted that if Curtis wins, things will get worse.
Meanwhile, at Portia’s, Curtis had some time with Dez. He told Portia he was sorry she was sacrificed on the stand again. That said, he didn’t want the stress around the baby because he would pick up on it. Later, with Stella, Curtis said that when he won, he was going to make sure that Isaiah was forbidden to be around his son.
