General Hospital Recap August 25

Lulu came by Lucas’ new place and was surprised to find out Joe lived there, too. They told her about the mix-up, but she could tell there was some sort of connection, and she left just as quickly.
Once alone, Lucas and Joe talked about how it made sense for him to live there, since Joe had furniture. Joe thought about it, agreed to move in, and they shook on it. Later, they ordered in dinner and hung out.
Jason Warns Carly

At Metro Court, Jason told Carly that Josslyn wasn’t Anna, and she couldn’t base her fears about the WSB on what happened to her or him, for that matter. Jason said he’d seen Josslyn in action, and she was smart and savvy. He told Carly to trust her abilities.
Carly said that she did, but when she saw what Anna had been through and how it changed her, she lost faith and worried. Jason reminded Carly that Josslyn had what Anna didn’t: Carly. He encouraged her to be there for Josslyn, but not to fight her on it.
Carly assured Jason that she didn’t want to push Josslyn away. He told her that she also couldn’t interfere in any way, as she did with Hudson. Carly said she wasn’t meddling; she was nudging. Jason warned her not to let her fears blow up her bond with Josslyn.
Valentin Helps Anna Through Her Panic Attack

In the elevator, Anna told Valentin that she felt like her throat was closing and she was suffocating. Peter watched, warning her not to tell Valentin anything. Valentin said she was having a panic attack but would be okay. He told her to take deep breaths and held her hands as he told her he wasn’t letting her go or going anywhere.
Valentin took Anna into the restaurant gardens and sat her down. He calmly told her it was okay to be feeling the way she was, and they would work through it as he ordered them two very cold shots of vodka.
Anna told Valentin that when she was under Wyndermere, she believed Cesar was alive and coming for her. She said she knew now that he was dead, but at the time, she wanted him to come to her so she could hand herself over to him so the fear would be realized, and it would all stop.
“You’re the only person who could possibly understand this. I haven’t had any real peace in my life since the first day I met that monster all those years ago,” Anna said, distraught. She said she should feel safe, knowing that he was dead, but she didn’t. She pointed out that everything that happened on Spoon Island all led back to him.
Anna Wants To Appear Strong

Anna added that the people she loved weren’t safe, either. Valentin said she was showing telltale signs of PTSD, and suggested she ask Dante to stay on a little longer while she recuperated. Anna insisted that she had been locked up for so long that she couldn’t do anything to have someone doubt her recovery.
Anna explained that the WSB was likely monitoring her, and she couldn’t risk someone questioning her mental state or they could grab her up and have her recommitted. She got herself together, thanked him for his concern, and assured him she was better. Anna suggested he go back to Carly, claiming she was fine.
Valentin went back upstairs and told Carly that Anna was upset but just needed a friend. He was happy when Carly assured him that she was happy he could be there for Anna like that.
Liesl Invites Jason

At another table, Britt met with Liesl. They talked about Cassius, and Britt flashed back to asking Anna for help, but her insisting she didn’t tell anyone. Britt told her mom that she was working on a way to get her some answers.
Liesl spotted Anna and Valentin sitting down and decided one particular person could help. “Scarecrow might not be willing, but she can be forced,” Obrecht grimaced as she stood up. Britt stopped her from going over.
Liesl reluctantly agreed that it wasn’t the best idea, and the topic changed to Britt and Jason’s relationship. When Liesl pressed for information, Britt said they were in love but didn’t want to jinx it and wanted to keep things nice and easy. Obrecht said Britt could do better than that and texted Jason.
When he arrived at the table, Liesl told Jason how much she wanted to celebrate him for everything he had done for Britt and Rocco. She knew he didn’t like parties, so she said she wanted to host a Labor Day gathering in solidarity with the labor movement worldwide. She said she wouldn’t consider hosting the event if he didn’t come. “I’ll be there,” Jason told her.
Behind them, Peter approached Anna. He told her that she had to kill Britt, and if anyone stopped her, she had to kill them, too. Anna looked over at Britt’s table and looked at Jason.
Hudson’s Ulterior Motive

At the lake, Hudson asked Josslyn what changed her mind about becoming the CEO of JJE. Josslyn shrugged it off when he was miffed that he’d spent so much time and energy on finding her replacement possibilities. She said she wanted to be sure, and decided she was the best person for the job.
Josslyn said she knew that people wouldn’t trust her as anything more than a nepo baby at first, but was determined to win over the employees and shareholders. Hudson told her he fully supported her. After Josslyn walked away, he made a call letting someone know she took the job. He said he couldn’t believe it either since she’d been against it since he arrived. Hudson assured them he’d make her change her mind.
Dante and Ric Visit Elizabeth

Dante went to the hospital to have his knee checked. As he bantered/flirted with Elizabeth, Ric walked in and spied on them. An upset Ric left again without them knowing after Elizabeth wheeled Dante into an examination room.
Dante shared that because of his injury, he might not be able to play ball. He was concerned that he’d convinced Rocco to join the team, and he’d lose interest if Dante wasn’t playing with him. Elizabeth soothed his fears and said they’d get him into an MRI to find out what the damage was.
Ric Bites The Bullet

Meanwhile, Ric went to the Metro Court and started drinking. Lulu joined him and asked what had happened with Elizabeth that had him depressed. He told her it wasn’t an Elizabeth problem; it was about him.
Ric took accountability for the way he reacted when he saw Dante in Elizabeth’s living room with his pants down. He said he went to the hospital to talk it out but saw her with a patient. Lulu thought that was good, since it gave him an opportunity to talk to her in a better setting, rather than ambushing her at work.
Lulu advised that women don’t like pressure, even with the best of intentions. Ric admitted he was going to propose, but could see now that he was rushing. Lulu told him to stop rushing to get his happy ever after with Elizabeth and to enjoy being together for a while. “Tell me, when are you and Elizabeth at your best? What are you doing?” she asked.
Ric said their best times were when he and Elizabeth went for a walk, got some ice cream, and he made her laugh. Lulu told him to keep it simple and just do that. Ric called Elizabeth while she was still with Dante and asked her to join him at a barbecue at Sonny’s. She said she’d be happy to be his date and invited him to an exhibit she wanted to go to.
When Ric hung up, he told Lulu he’d just scored two dates. Ric thanked Lulu, but she said he just needed to get out of his own way.
