General Hospital Recap April 30: Britt Exposes Josslyn as a WSB Agent, Carly is Shocked, and Sonny Tests Ethan

TL;DR: In today’s General Hospital recap, Lucas walks in on Carly, Sonny tries to pay off Ethan, Britt drops a bomb about Josslyn being a WSB agent, Jack turns to Sonny for guidance, and Ava and Lucy want the same thing.

General Hospital Recap April 30

At Metro Court, Ethan watched around the corner as Lucy joined Ava and Sidwell just as Ava was suggesting that she and Jenz fly to St. Barts to see a piece for his art collection. Sidwell was delighted when Lucy immediately wanted to join them. 

Sidwell checked his calendar and said he couldn’t leave town for the next two weeks.

Lucy and Ava bickered when left alone, and Ava warned that she was going to advise Jenz to walk away from Deception. Lucy mocked a gasp.

When Jenz returned, Lucy asked about a zincite shipment that seemed like way too much for Deception’s use and wondered where it was going. Ava interrupted to say he wasn’t working.

Ric stopped by and took Ava away for a moment. Lucy used the time alone to offer to take the shipping issue off of Sidwell’s plate. Jenz said thanks, but no thanks.

Liesl Wants to Celebrate

Liesl asked Nathan and Britt to join her at Crimson and told them that she wanted to have a party for James just as Nina arrived. 

Nina was happy to host a party, but couldn’t accommodate Liesl’s vision for a petting zoo and trampoline. Nina agreed to have her assistant help plan something simpler. 

Once alone, Liesl was irritated that Britt had not encouraged her plans. Liesl wanted to create memories for Nathan and James that they’d missed over the years.

When Liesl mentioned Cesar, Britt wondered why she’d bring him up, so she told her that someone had been asking about him lately.

Liesl told Britt that Felicia asked her to visit Anna, and she was considering it until Josslyn questioned Nathan’s disappearance and miraculous return, suggesting they were not what they seemed.

Liesl tearfully told Britt that she was grateful her son, Nathan, was back after being shot while heroically trying to save the love of his life.

Sonny Offers To Pay Ethan To Leave Town

Ric came to Sonny’s to report that his digging had concluded that Ethan could be bought, and reminded Sonny that some of his enemies had deep pockets. “Do you mean Sidwell?” Sonny asked.

Ric was disappointed that Sonny wasn’t taking his advice to keep Ethan out of his operation and asked why he was taking an unnecessary risk.

Ric suggested that he give Ethan money as a way to honor Luke, and then he’d scurry out of town and out of harm’s way. Sonny didn’t think it was a bad idea.

Ethan showed up, so they shelved the conversation. He let him in and told Ric he’d asked Ethan to follow Lucy.

Ethan reported what he’d seen in the gardens. After Ric left, Sonny offered Ethan $30,000 to leave, but he declined.

Ethan realized afterward that it was a test and laughed that Ric must’ve put him up to it since he didn’t trust him. Sonny admitted that Ric might not trust him, but said he did.

Lucas Surprises Carly

Carly was scrolling through an online grocery order when she called out to Valentin to ask how he felt about rubbed lamb. She jumped when Lucas responded instead. 

Lucas confirmed he’d let himself in but said he should stop as he didn’t want to walk in on her and her secret lover. After confirming her mystery man hadn’t moved in, Lucas told Carly that she needed to end her relationship with whoever it was immediately, as she had a penchant for dangerous men.

Carly was sure that her mystery man could be trusted to protect her from Jack when he found out. Lucas could tell whoever he was, she’d really fallen for him.

Josslyn Drops a Bomb On Jack

In Jack’s room, Josslyn told Brennan that Carly had moved on with another man. Brennan didn’t believe her, but Josslyn insisted she was telling the truth.

Jack said he and Carly loved one another, but Josslyn said that ended when he let her get close to Vaughn, which put her in danger. She said if he thought getting a follow-up on Jason would make her forgive and forget anything, he didn’t know her mother.

Jack asked for a name. Josslyn wouldn’t give him one, but said you could tell by her demeanor that Carly was thinking about someone else. “You know I’m right,” she added.

Joss asked if there was an update on Nathana’s missing seven years, but Jack said that, as a sleeper agent, it was above her pay grade to ask. 

Josslyn said she was fine with it and noted that telling him about Carly had nothing to do with business. “Thought it was a pleasure telling you,” she smirked before leaving.

Josslyn Questions Nina

Josslyn went to see Nina with an iced vanilla latte to convince her to give her a moment. She apologized for their falling-out and asked Nina for advice about Nathan.

Josslyn rambled about working out with Nathan and asked him to be his regular workout partner, and wanted to know if she knew what kind of gift he’d like.

Nina couldn’t believe she had interrupted her workday for this, but surmised Josslyn had a crush on her brother. Josslyn asked about him coming home, then being with Lulu instead of Maxie.

Josslyn asked what made Nathan and Maxie so special. She said she could relate to Maxie’s loss of Nathan, as she still grieved for Dex. She said on even the worst days, she would think “Maxie did it, and she was pregnant.” 

Nina understood where her grief was coming from and lightened up. She mentioned that Nathan always told her a story about how he fell in love with Maxie one night during fireworks.

Jack Decides It Might Be True

Jack sat alone and thought back to times when Carly did questionable things, like the time she had two glasses of wine out but claimed to be alone.

Jack went to Sonny’s and said he wanted to question him about his ex-wife. He asked how often he’d seen her, if she’d been showing up late or lying lately.

Sonny laughed that Jack sounded jealous. He advised that if Carly was stepping out on him, then maybe she had just wised up.

Britt Has Her Own Bombshell To Drop

Britt summoned Nathan to tell him that someone was asking about him, and he knew instantly she meant Josslyn. 

Britt laid into Cassius for thinking he could just pretend to be Nathan and people would love him so much that they’d just buy into his story. She said now people were asking questions.

Nathan told Britt that “people” weren’t asking, just one person: Josslyn Jacks, a ditzy sorority girl. Britt quickly told him that Josslyn was not a ditzy sorority girl; she was a WSB agent.
