Days of Our Lives Weekly Recap August 10–14: Lexie Is Found as Devlin Takes on EJ

TL;DR: In the Days of Our Lives weekly recap for August 10–14, 2026, Theo and Lani searched for Lexie after discovering she never went to Africa, while EJ and Johnny kept the truth about her condition hidden. Devlin St. John arrived in Salem and investigated the Coriseal contamination, Rafe offered Gwen immunity in exchange for testimony against EJ, Philip asked Gabi for $5 million, and Chad turned on Cat after learning she knew Lexie was in the tunnels. By Friday, Theo and Chad found Lexie, while Rita and EJ dealt with Devlin.

Theo and Lani Search for Lexie

Theo and Lani realized on Monday that Lexie had never made it to Africa. Theo had been unable to reach her, and a call to Celeste confirmed that she was not expecting to see Lexie. Lani also learned that the rideshare Lexie took went to the airfield, but there was no record of Lexie boarding a flight.

Lani went to Jada for help, but Jada explained that Lexie being away and missing Abe’s birthday was not enough to open an investigation. Theo and Lani continued looking for answers while EJ and Johnny knew more than they were saying.

EJ eventually told Johnny that Lexie had been left in the tunnels after the planned switch involving Kristen failed. He explained that she wanted to spare Abe and Theo from watching Lexie deteriorate again and confirmed that Rolf’s miracle treatment had not worked as expected.

Cat told Marlena that she believed Lexie was in the tunnels. Marlena realized Theo needed to know and ultimately helped point him in the right direction. Marlena prepared Theo and told him that Lexie believed the medication was failing. Theo realized what that meant and set out to find her.

Theo and Chad found Lexie in the tunnels. Chad told Lexie that he was sorry for what EJ had done to her before leaving to find Abe. Chad interrupted Abe’s birthday dinner to tell him and he rushed to Lexie and Theo.

Devlin St. John Investigates EJ and the Coriseal Cover-Up

Devlin St. John, the water inspector investigating the contaminated well on Smith Island, arrived in Salem. He questioned Julie about the well and wanted to know whether anyone had been asking questions about the water.

Devlin’s investigation eventually brought him to the DiMera mansion, where he questioned EJ about the contamination and revealed that George had told him where bodies connected to the Coriseal case were buried.

EJ and Rita realized Devlin knew enough about the Coriseal cover-up to become a serious problem. They tranquilized him, but the plan did not go as smoothly as they expected. EJ and Devlin fought, and although the memory-destroying drugs worked, Devlin then overheard Rita talking to Chad and Theo about Lexie being hidden in the tunnels because the miracle drug didn’t work.

Attracted to Devlin, Rita ultimately decided not to kill him. Instead, she knocked him out and put him in a pod for a later date.

Rafe Offers Gwen Immunity for Testimony Against EJ

Rafe continued working to bring down EJ while dealing with Gwen and Dimitri in Alamainia. Earlier, Dimitri had refused Rafe’s proposal to return to Salem and provide a statement about his kidnapping. Rafe needed Dimitri’s testimony as corroboration, while Leo tried to convince Dimitri to let Gwen and Rafe leave.

Rafe made Gwen an offer. He told her that he could guarantee her immunity if she testified against EJ. Gwen initially refused to leave without Leo, but Rafe assured her that Dimitri would not hurt him. Gwen ultimately agreed to leave with Rafe.

Leo stayed with Dimitri to keep his word if he let Gwen leave, but told him he deserved someone who genuinely loved him, not someone who stayed because they were forced to.

Chad Turns on Cat Over Lexie’s Secret

Cat had been investigating EJ and the miracle drug while getting closer to him. She told Rafe that EJ’s attraction to her was allowing her to get information, including the fact that he was still in contact with Dr. Rolf. Rafe warned her that EJ was dangerous and could retaliate if he discovered she was using him.

Cat also learned from Mark that there was a serious problem with EJ’s miracle serum. Mark said lab rats were dying after receiving it and warned Cat that her position as EJ’s assistant could put her at risk.

After Theo and Chad found Lexie, Chad confronted Cat in the square. He told her that he had tried to warn her about EJ and could not believe she knew Lexie was in the tunnels without telling him. Cat said she had only learned the night before that Lexie could be there and intended to tell him once she had more information, but Chad accused her of lying to him from the beginning.

Philip Asks Gabi for $5 Million

Philip turned to Gabi for financial help after learning that Titan and the Kiriakis estate were in danger. He told her that he had secured a place in a high-stakes poker game in Monte Carlo with a $5 million buy-in and believed he could win $200 million.

Philip asked Gabi to provide the money, arguing that poker was one thing he still believed he was good at. Gabi thought the request was unreasonable. Xander arrived as Philip and Gabi discussed how they could save Titan.

Sarah later told Brady that the family was facing the loss of Titan and the Kiriakis estate. Brady was upset about losing Basic Black but focused on the fact that his children were moving forward with their lives.

Xander and Sarah Grow Closer as Titan Faces Trouble

Xander told Sarah that EJ had called in the loan and that they could lose everything. Sarah stayed with him as they dealt with the financial crisis, bringing the two closer during the week.

At the same time, Rachel struggled with Kristen’s latest absence. She admitted she felt calmer without her mother around and recognized she didn’t have to trust Kristen simply because she was her mother. Brady comforted her and told her Kristen would want her to feel calmer, too.

Stephanie and Alex Deal With Joy’s Restrictions

Stephanie continued trying to be involved in Kelsey’s life despite Joy’s restrictions. She brought flowers and a card from Kelsey to Joy in the hospital, but Kayla’s reaction made it clear that the gesture was unlikely to change Joy’s position.

Stephanie said she believed it was unfair for Joy to keep her away from Kelsey and admitted that the situation was beginning to affect her marriage. Alex separately confided in Steve that he wanted to finally celebrate his marriage to Stephanie, and Steve offered to help him make it happen.

Steve also advised Alex to make it clear to Joy that their relationship was limited to co-parenting and that they had no future together.

Aaron and Ari Take Their Relationship Forward

Aaron and Ari spent more time together during the week. On Wednesday, Aaron arranged a gathering in the park with Ari, Holly, and Tate, recreating some of the plans they had made for the Horton cabin. Aaron later pulled Ari aside, and the two kissed.

Chanel also reached a major point in her pregnancy on Friday. After Johnny, Chanel, and Lani brought pizza home and discussed the situation with Paulina, Chanel experienced another pain and said she thought she was in labor.
