TL;DR: In today’s Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Stephanie tells Alex she feels shut out, Johnny comes up empty searching for Coriseal records, and Sarah asks Xander for help tracing a tainted drug.

Days of our Lives Recap June 23

Alex and Stephanie were at home when Joy called Alex and said she and Kelsey were at the hospital. Before she could finish her sentence, Alex said he was on his way and ran over there. When he got there, everyone was fine.

Kelsey was still crying, as he’d heard in the background on the call and assumed she was hurt. Joy explained she’d just gotten her shots and wasn’t calling for him to rush over; Kelsey was okay, but Joy said she wasn’t. Joy explained that back home, her father was a doctor and she didn’t have medical bills.

Alex said that when the paperwork was done and he was on Kelsey’s birth certificate, he could add her to his insurance. Until then, he would cover her medical bills. Joy was grateful and wanted to set up a visit. Alex said he’d check with Stephanie as he wanted to plan it when she was busy with something else. He told Joy he didn’t want her to feel alone and promised again to be an active father before leaving.

Stephanie Opens Up to Kayla About Her Childhood Trauma

While Alex was gone, Kayla came by. Stephanie shared that through her therapy and research, she’d learned that a lot of trauma and issues stem back to childhood. Stephanie felt that her feelings of abandonment from being kidnapped and losing Steve contributed to her pattern of relationships.

Kayla agreed that it was possible and didn’t take it personally that Stephanie was taking her upbringing into consideration for her therapy.

Brady and Steve Question Johnny About Coriseal

Brady and Steve met at the pub and got caught up since Steve’s trip to Japan. Brady told him about the Coriseal case he was working on with Sarah, so they went to see Johnny for answers. Xander had come by already and brought flowers for Chanel, who was resting.

Steve and Brady had some questions about Coriseal and the DiMera connection. He said if the drugs the company sold were cut wth anything and if any inventory was still out there. Johnny started to defend EJ against being capable of doing something like that, but Brady said Johnny, of all people, knew better.

Johnny said he would look into it. Once alone, he looked into the DiMera files and searched for DiMera Pharmaceuticals, 2024, Coriseal, but got a “file not found” result.

Sarah Turns to Xander for Help

Meanwhile, Sarah came to Xander’s office and told him she wanted information about a drug that may have been tainted and that DiMera Pharmaceuticals might have been the manufacturer. Sarah assured Xander she wasn’t accusing him of involvement but wondered if he had any information that might link the company to when Titan and DiMera were merged.

Xander said all the files were scrubbed from the system. Or, at least, the DiMera system. Sarah asked if that meant that Xander still had copies. “Just tell me what you need,” Xander offered. He also warned Sarah not to confront EJ and almost told her he cared. After she left, Xander called and asked for all the files from two years ago at DiMera Pharmaceuticals.

Later, Sarah met with Brady, and he told her that Johnny was looking into it. Brady wasn’t impressed when Sarah said the same about Xander. Brady thought Xander couldn’t be trusted and said he would see dollar signs or find a way to use it against EJ. Sarah thought it didn’t think it hurt to try every avenue, and Brady reluctantly agreed.

Stephanie Tells Alex She Feels Shut Out

When Alex got home, he told Stephanie what had happened and that, as soon as he knew Kelsey was okay, he wanted to get back to her. Stephanie said that she understood he wanted to be a good dad, and it made her happy to see it — but she also hated it.

Stephanie explained that she didn’t like being shut out, especially that day when he had to run off without explanation. She knew that he would also be spending time with Joy and it wouldn’t be serious or an emergency. He and Joy would go to the playground and do fun things, making memories without her. Stephanie wondered how he saw it working in the long term.

“We’ve discussed this. I am taking this one step at a time,” Alex said. Stephanie said that was not what she was asking, but Alex told her it was the only answer he had for her at the moment.

Joy Walks Away From Steve and Kayla

Meanwhile, Kayla met Steve at the pub, and he told her about the case with Brady. She was relieved he’d taken it on, as they agreed it could become a community epidemic if the drug was still out there. They noticed Joy come in with Kelsey and went to greet her.

Steve and Kayla told Joy how sorry they were for what happened with Stephanie. Steve had just started to pitch the idea that Stephanie not be allowed to see Alex’s baby when Joy suddenly claimed she had to go and walked away with Kelsey.
