Days of our Lives Recap July 15: Alex Spends the Night With Joy, Belle and Chad Find Another Clue

TL;DR: In today’s Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Alex spends the night helping Joy and Kelsey after the accident, Stephanie invites Theo to stay with her, Leo leans on friends after seeing Javi, and Belle and Chad discover a hidden message.

Days of our Lives Recap July 15

Alex helped Joy come home with Kelsey, but she was in so much pain from the accident that she couldn’t walk up the stairs. On top of it, she couldn’t lift Kelsey. He decided the best thing to do was to get her a room at the Salem Inn so she didn’t need to deal with either.

Alex called Stephanie, who was commiserating at Small Bar with Theo over drinks. He told her that he was going to spend the night at the Inn with Joy and Kelsey. Stephanie blew a gasket and hung up, while he thought it was a good solution to the issue.

Stephanie Asks Theo to Stay the Night

Stephanie told Theo all about Joy and the issues she was having with her. He walked her home and told her about Abe’s interference in his career. Furious at his dad, he still didn’t even want to go home. Stephanie offered to let him spend the night at her place instead.

Theo was hesitant about it, but Stephanie said she’d explain to Alex she was doing a friend a favor, and said it would mean a lot to her if he stayed so she wasn’t alone. Theo made himself a bed on the couch.

Meanwhile, at the hotel, Alex gave Kelsey a bath and got his shirt soaked so he took it off. Joy struggled with her neck brace and didn’t know how she’d sleep in it so Alex came and sat on the bed next to her to help loosen it. Later, Joy was sleeping on the bed, and Alex was on the floor. He watched her sleep and put a blanket on her.

Leo Finds Support From Friends

Leo ran into Javi and Gus in the square, and they could tell he wasn’t all right. Leo chalked it up to his concussion, but it was all awkward for Leo.

Meanwhile, at the Hernandez house, Gabi and Gwen researched Gabi Chic knock-offs together. Gabi was furious as Rafe said there wasn’t much she could do. Gwen told Gabi that she got into a fistfight with Kristen and accidentally elbowed EJ in the eye.

When Javi and Gus came in together, Gabi and Gwen offered to go out. Gwen invited Gabi to her room to drink. Gwen told Javi that Leo still held a torch for him, so be gentle when he saw him.

When they were alone, Javi told Gus that he’d seen Leo earlier and told him to take the ring off, and he did. He felt sad for Leo because he was alone. Gus felt bad too, but said Leo’s loss was his gain.

Gwen and Gabi ran into Leo in the square, and he asked Gwen for a hug. The three sat down to commiserate about their problems.

Belle and Chad Discover a Hidden Clue

Belle and Chad came home to her place and talked about the concert. The note that was handed to her at first looked like it had been doodled on, but upon further study, they realized it contained a message. The word “lire” and the letters “u” and “v” were underlined.

They thought maybe it had a secret code or message, using invisible ink. Belle got one of John’s UV lights from her room. Sure enough, there was a hidden Celtic cross on it.
