Days of our Lives Recap July 1: Leo Exposes Kristen and Xander’s Secret, Kate Moves Out

TL;DR: In Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Gabi discovers Ari has moved out, Leo catches Kristen and Xander together, Lexie tries to hold onto hope despite devastating news, and Titan’s financial crisis takes another dangerous turn.

Days of our Lives Recap July 1

Gabi came home hopeful to talk to Ari, but Javi and Gus told her that Ari had moved out to the pub. She was upset and lamented about it before leaving again. 

Once alone, Javi and Gus talked about Javi’s mom and how she was overprotective as well. He said that coming out to his mom in Texas affected their relationship back then, and had he been more comfortable, he might never have come to Salem. “And never would have met Leo,” Gus added.

Javi hated that Leo hurt him but didn’t regret meeting him because it led him back to Gus. Javi talked about how he let his mom matchmake him with a girl just to please her. He was sad about the daughter that he lost, but he still didn’t regret the path he took that got him and Gus back together.

Gus and Javi talked about Leo’s concussion. Javi worried that his recent head injury would worsen Leo’s condition and wondered if he should check on him. Gus stopped Javi, noting that he asked if Leo had anyone to bring him home, and he said he did.

Javi asked if Gus knew who Leo meant, but all he knew was that Leo referred to the person as a “he.” Javi noted that he’d moved on and Leo should do the same, but he sounded jealous — as noted by Gus. However, Javi calmed his worries.

Philip and Gabi Make a Pact

Gwen saw Philip in the square reading So Long Soulmate. She said she bought all those books for a quick fix, but the truth was there wasn’t one. She said he’d be ready to move on when his heart was ready.

After Gwen left, Gabi walked by. She spotted the book and told Philip she missed him, too. Philip said he wanted to talk to her about the peace offering she’d given to Titan. He asked Gabi not to tell EJ about the money she was giving them.

Gabi said she wouldn’t, but said she was looking forward to rubbing it in Tony’s face. Philip shared that it wasn’t Tony who told him about her betrayal, and that it was Anna. Kristen interrupted, and Philip took the opportunity to leave.

Once alone, Gabi said she couldn’t hang out with Kristen because she messed up with Ari and she had to go try to fix it. They talked about how they would do anything to protect their daughters.

Leo Stumbles Onto a Secret

Leo came back to his room but was still out of sorts from the fall he took at the pub. He saw Xander and Kristen kissing and hid behind a plant until Kristen went into her room. Xander spotted him trying to get to his room and called out. “Hugh Grant?” Leo wondered.

Xander called Leo out on his self-deprecating talk and realized he had a concussion. Xander caught him as he fell and offered to get him to his room safely.

Gwen bumped into them in the hall and offered to take over after Xander brought Leo to his room. Xander thanked her as he had to get to the office. Gwen asked if she’d see Xander later, but he said she’d have her hands full with Leo and blew her off.

In Leo’s room, he told her all about his fall and how Gus was the EMT. Leo was embarrassed as Gwen emptied his minibar. Leo wished he’d hit his head hard enough to forget Javi.

Leo and Gwen talked about her love life, and Leo told her that she was rich and deserved someone who would treat her better. She wondered why he was telling her that now, so Leo told her that it was true about Kristen and Xander after what he’d seen in the hall. Gwen said it couldn’t be, as Kristen was one of her few friends, but Leo insisted he saw it with his own eyes.

Lexie Holds Onto Hope

At home, Lexie was sure that Dr. Rolf had to be wrong; she thought if she were dying, she would know. Abe and Lexie had a romantic evening and talked about their love and being together. Abe took off his ring to Paulina, and later, they made love for the first time since her return.

Titan’s Crisis Gets Worse

At the pub, Roman told Kate that he’d given a room to Ari. She was confused because she didn’t think they had any that were available. “Sure, we do. The one you’ve been sleeping in,” Roman said.

Kate asked where she was supposed to sleep, so Roman said he wasn’t worried about it, as she was resourceful. Kate asked point-blank if they were over.

Roman reminded Kate that she had broken his trust and said there wasn’t much else she could do to fix it. He suggested they take some time apart, so Kate left to pack.

Philip returned to the office, and Xander was already there. He got a call from Kate, who told him she was moving into the Kiriakis mansion and didn’t care what Maggie thought.

Later, Philip and Xander were served papers from the A.R.O. company, which had bought their loan. The letter said that the interest rate had been tripled and that they now had to pay it twice a month instead of once. Xander didn’t know what they were going to do, but knew if they didn’t figure it out fast, they would lose everything.

Meanwhile, Gabi ran into Kate outside the pub. They exchanged some barbs, but when Kate told her she knew why Ari moved out, Gabi said she would’ve done exactly the same thing.
