Days of our Lives Recap Jan 22: Steve Reveals Stalker Shocker As Jada Moves For An Arrest
In the Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, January 22, 2026, Jada reveals the stalker, Stephanie found out Alex’s secret, Gabi promised her heart to Philip, while JJ had other hopes.

When Julie came home, she was dismayed when Jeremy told her that Thomas wasn’t happy about the mediation agreement. She wondered whether it would affect the outcome.
Jeremy told Julie that he was leaving Salem for good. Julie was sad to see him go and asked if it had anything to do with Stephanie’s engagement announcement.
Jeremy said no matter where he put down roots, Stephanie would be the one he pushed away by his own bad behavior. He said he was glad Stephanie was happy; he tried to make amends, but he had to respect her boundaries.
JJ went to see Theo, but he was visiting Gabi. She said she was leaving anyway, adding that she had a date with Philip.
Once alone, JJ told Theo he’d been taking de-escalation classes and shared some things he’d learned. Theo told him what he needed to hear: that a possibility of a high-stakes decision could arise, and he was confident to make the right decision.
JJ promised to do the work to keep fear from hijacking his brain and clouding his judgment about who and what was a threat. Theo knew he’d been hard on him, but said he knew the world was a better place with him in it.
JJ wondered if he’d never gone back to the police force, if he and Gabi would still be together. Theo didn’t think Philip and Gabi were going to last. Theo recalled that Gabi planted the bug in Xander’s office.
Alex and Steve went to Titan, and Philip learned that Xander had fired Brady. He wasn’t too pleased at that news and then explained to Philip that he was being stalked.
Philip said that if a book that his company published put them in danger, he needed to know what was being done to keep them safe. Steve explained they were trying to lure him out with the engagement announcement.
Alex and Steve went to the pub. Hope messaged that they found another website that was a shrine to Stephanie, but it had its own URL, and they were researching to find the owner.
In the square, Jada told Stephanie that Alex paid for round-the-clock protection for her, and there were undercover cops watching them. Stephanie regretted ever writing the book.
Jada and Stephanie joined Steve and Alex. Steve got a text and asked to speak to Jada. Once alone, Steph told Alex she knew about the private security and thanked him.
Across the bar, Jada looked at Steve’s evidence on his phone and he asked if it was enough. She said that it showed confirmation of someone owning the URL, and she’d take it from there.
Steve returned to the table and told Stephanie and Alex that Jada left to make an arrest in the stalker case.
Gabi and Philip met for their date and played cornhole in the park. Philip asked how she would feel if Rafe discovered on his trip that Stefan was still alive.
Gabi assured Philip that she wanted nothing to do with Stefan before; it wouldn’t change anything now. Gabi said she was hoping that he wasn’t dead, but she didn’t want Stefan back.
Philip told Gabi he was sorry that Stefan hurt her so badly. He said he was an idiot if he didn’t want her. Gabi was grateful and then updated Philip about Javi and Leo.
Philip wondered if they were in the same position, and it was Stefan returning as Dimitri did, if she’d be tempted, but Gabi assured Philip that she only wanted him.
At the Horton house, Jada pounded on the door. When Jeremy opened the door, she told him that he needed to come to the station. Jeremy asked what it was about, but Jada was sure he knew.
Julie intervened, saying there must be a misunderstanding. Jada told them both that someone had been stalking Stephanie and Alex, and that they had evidence that the person was Jeremy.
