Days of our Lives Recap Jan 19: Sophia Slaps Holly, Javi Tells Leo Goodbye
In the Days of our Lives recap for Monday, January 19, 2026, it was Trey’s christening, Sophia reacted violently, and Holly got some words off her chest.

While Chanel got ready for the baptism, Paulina kept her company and noted that she and Johnny seemed to be in a better place. Chanel gushed that she was hopeful about the future and her pregnancy.
Johnny came in and explained who couldn’t attend the christening and why. Chanel understood the short notice and got Trey ready to go.
Ari was struggling with a hangover when Gabi saw her in the kitchen. She was giving her some ill-timed scoldings for drinking when Rafe came in. But before they could get too into it, Johnny called to invite them to Trey’s baptism.
Ari didn’t want to go to the christening because Leo would be there. Rafe and Gabi tried to talk her into it, but they relented; Ari said she had to go clothes shopping to rush sororities with Holly.
Rafe tried to forewarn Ari about sorority requirements, but was interrupted by a text from Eli. Rafe told them Eli was going with him to Alamainia to find out about Stefan and the kidnappings.
Gabi said she knew Vivian had nothing to gain by lying that Stefan was dead, but she needed to know for sure. Rafe was glad he could try to give her closure.
Leo was happily surprised to find Javi at his door. Javi told him about the christening and the urgency of doing it before he left town. Leo told Javi he couldn’t leave.
Javi explained the situation with his dad, but Leo told him he was his family and wanted to be there for him. Leo implored Javi to hear him, reminding him that they just taken vows that they both meant.
Leo said he couldn’t move on from Javi, but he seemed to imply that he could. Javi cried and started to tell Leo that he knew about him and Dimitri kissing, but stopped. Leo asked when he was coming back from Texas, but Javi said he might not.
At Bayview, Dr. Gregory talked to Holly about helping with Sophia. She thought that being able to talk to Holly about her resentment towards her could help her therapy.
Dr. Gregory took Holly to Sophia’s room and explained to her why they were there. Sophia was shocked to see Holly, but the doctor insisted that she share what she was feeling, so Sophia hauled off and tried to slap Holly’s face.
The doctor intervened but then let Holly speak her mind. Holly went off on Sophia, yelling at her to wake up and own her mistakes. Holly screamed at her about being sorry for hurting her feelings, but then rattled off a list of things Sophia did.
Holly barked that Sophia was selfish and a narcissist. She said she’d never feel sorry for her again and stormed out.
Dr. Gregory apologized to Sophia for triggering her by bringing Holly to her. She asked if there was anything Sophia wanted to say, so she wrote “I hate her!!” on a notepad and held it up.
After the doctor left, Sophia got out her new phone and messaged Melinda. She wrote that she needed to see her.
Holly and Ari met in the square, and Holly told her about her meeting with Sophia. Ari said that she saw Sophia in the square, but they both couldn’t understand how.
Javi came by their table as he and Leo left the christening. Ari hugged him and asked how the baptism went. After they hugged and parted, Leo came to Javi. He told him that he had no intention of saying goodbye to him.
