Days of Our Lives Recap for June 10: Stephanie Nearly Shoots Joy and Amy Targets Holly
TL;DR: In today’s Days of our Lives recap, tensions boil over when Stephanie accidentally fires a gun at Joy, leading to her never wanting Stephanie near Kelsey. Meanwhile, Amy Choi plots a civil suit against Holly, and Gwen finds a new purpose as Tate’s first gym client.
Days of our Lives Recap June 10

Tate took Holly to see his gym and said he needed to finish setting it up and pick a name. They tossed around a few ideas, then they got limber by stretching some muscles together.
Amy Wants Holly Held Accountable

In Small Bar, Amy Choi asked Melinda to meet her and talked to her about losing Sophia. She told her that she reached out because Melinda had also lost a child and could understand her feelings. But also, Amy wanted a lawyer to go after Holly.
Melinda understood, as she, too, wanted to have Kristen put behind bars to ease her pain, but the truth was that nothing could ease her pain because nothing could bring Hayley back. Melinda advised that fighting that battle would never fill the hole in her heart.
Amy was disappointed when Melinda told her that she agreed with Belle’s assessment of charges sticking. Mrs. Choi said she wanted to file a civil suit so Holly could admit what she did and swear in front of everyone that she would never treat anyone like she did Sophia ever again. “Making the world safe from Holly Jonas. That is what I’m hoping to accomplish,” she said adamantly.
Gwen Reconsiders EJ’s Claims

At the Brady pub, Gwen kept Leo company while he babysat Kelsey. She told him about her argument with EJ and that he told her Xander was fooling around with Kristen. Gwen said she confronted them, but they were having a business meeting in her room.
Leo recalled how they’d run into Kristen, clearly just back from an afternoon delight, and she claimed she’d been at a business meeting then, too. He could see that Gwen was rethinking EJ’s claim.
Gwen Becomes Tate’s First Client

After Gwen left, she went to Tate’s gym and tried out his punching bag. When Tate saw her, he was surprised, as he wasn’t expecting to get any paying clients so soon. She thought it was grand to be his first, and he took her information. “Any previous experience in self-defense?” he asked. “Street fighting,” she replied. “And… your goals?” Tate asked. “To make sure EJ DiMera doesn’t murder me,” she told him as she whacked the punching bag.
Stephanie Fires the Gun

At Stephanie and Alex’s apartment, Stephanie snapped out of it once the gun was fired. She realized that she almost shot Joy and was horrified. As Joy was reeling, Alex walked in, and Joy showed him the bullet hole in the wall, telling them that it could have been her head.
In the hallway, Shawn and Jada came home and spotted the bullet on the ground. They pulled their guns and went inside. Shawn bagged the gun and asked Joy to take a statement while Jada took Stephanie into the bedroom.
Joy told Shawn the chain of events from picking up the stuffy, getting the key, using it, and dodging bullets. In the bedroom, Jada told Stephanie she didn’t just make a mistake; it was inches away from a horrific tragedy. Stephanie said she now gets why it was so important to store the ammo away from the gun.
Stephanie said it felt more dangerous to keep the gun so inaccessible, but when the door opened, she panicked. “All I know is it wasn’t Alex. Part of me thought it was Owen; I couldn’t let him hurt me, not again. So I just pulled the trigger,” Stephanie cried.
In the living room, Shawn asked if Joy thought Stephanie meant to pull the trigger, and she said she definitely did. When Alex tried to justify Stephanie being jet-lagged and disoriented from a sleeping pill, Joy had no sympathy. She asked Alex what would have happened if she’d had Kelsey with her.
Joy Refuses to Forgive Stephanie

Alex took Joy to get Kelsey, and Stephanie was surprised to hear that from Shawn instead of her husband. Regardless, she told Shawn and Jada that she’d screwed up and didn’t expect special favors.
When Joy got to the pub, she rushed to Kelsey, while Alex incredulously asked Leo if he was the “friend” who was watching his kid. Joy blurted out that she took longer than expected because Alex’s wife almost shot her. As she told him more details, Leo grabbed a pen and paper, noting it was a great story.
Alex told Leo he could not print it. Alex tried to downplay it all and asked to talk to Joy alone, but she told Alex that she needed to be with her daughter and dismissed him. Leo comforted Joy, but she said she never wanted Stephanie near her child ever again.
Alex Stands By Stephanie

When Alex came back, he said that Joy was shaken up but wanted to be with Kelsey. Jada and Shawn offered their support and left them to talk.
Stephanie asked what Joy said, but he was vague. “I’m so sorry,” Stephanie cried. Alex told her not to think about it for the moment and to get some rest. Alex held Stephanie as she lay on the bed.
Amy Confronts Holly in the Square

In the square, Mrs. Choi ran into Holly and told her that she was probably celebrating the D.A.’s decision not to press charges, but it wasn’t over. “Not even close,” Amy seethed, and then body-checked her as she stomped off.
