Days of our Lives Recap February 26: Sophia’s Recruits Rachel, Abe and EJ Plot, Holly and Tate Make Up

TL;DR: In today’s Days of our Lives recap, Sophia blackmails Rachel into helping her get a refill of “supplements” to Holly, Holly and Tate make up, Theo gets good news about his health, Johnny deceives Chanel by keeping EJ’s gift for Trey instead of throwing it out, and Susan warns EJ about his father’s legacy after Stephanie’s kidnapping.

Days of our Lives Recap Feb 26

At Bayview, Sophia was happy when she got a care package from her mom, which included a bottle of the same skin supplements that Holly used.

Rachel and Tate played checkers while they waited for word on Stephanie. Holly came by, and was happy to see Rachel, but said she was there to apologize to Tate.

Tate asked Rachel to give them a moment to talk, and she reluctantly did. In her room, Rachel got a call from Sophia but she dismissed it. Sophia kept trying.

Rachel finally answered, and Sophia cheerfully told her she missed her and needed her help. Rachel tried to get off the phone but Sophia warned her she could tell her dad that she stole his money. 

Sophia told Rachel she was going to send her a bottle of vitamins and needed Rachel to give them to Holly but not tell her.

Rachel questioned it but Tate interrupted so she hid her phone. Sophia listened as Rachel talked to Tate, and seemed happy to hear him in the background.

Rachel went to the living room, saw Tate and Holly making out, and came back to her room. She realized Sophia was still on the phone and told her about it. Sophia fumed.

Holly’s Mea Culpa

Meanwhile, Holly apologized to TAte and said she thought she must be overly tired. She didn’t know why she brought up Sophia, and said it was ancient history, but Tate thought she still didn’t trust him.

Holly insisted that she trusted Tate, she was just not acting like herself and didn’t know why. Tate told her everything was good between them.

Theo’s Good News

Theo told Abe and Paulina that the neurologist told him the could resume his daily activities the next week, and he’d already told Johnny he was coming back to work.

Abe wasn’t pleased and left; Theo regretted telling him. 

Paulina explained that after his kidnapping, they were more concerned than ever about Theo’s connection to the DiMeras. Theo better understood the mood once he learned of Stephanie’s disappearance from Paulina.

Johnny’s Change of Heart

When Johnny came home, Chanel told him about Stephanie, and he told Chanel about Theo. She was relieved he was leaving DiMera next week.

Chanel was thrilled, and told Johnny about her doctor’s appointment, sharing a recording of the heartbeat with him.

When Johnny went to make them sundaes, Chanel suddenly had stabbing pain in her stomach again. It passed — and she told Johnny it was totally normal.

Chanel noticed the silver cup that EJ had sent to them as a gift for Trey and wanted it gone. After she went to the bedroom, Johnny tossed the card, but when he picked up the engraved cup, he tucked it into his briefcase instead.

Not The Phoenix

EJ was stressed about the number of police swarming the hospital and going into his lab when Susan came into the living room. He told her about Stephanie’s kidnapping.

Susan noted that she predicted it back on Halloween, but no one believed her. 

EJ asked if Susan knew where Stephanie was, but all she knew was that Stephanie’s teeth were chattering. 

Abe came by and said he knew EJ would prefer that Johnny stay on as CEO and wanted to encourage it. EJ assured Abe that he would take care of it, and Abe would be happy.

After Abe left, Susan noticed EJ’s ring and warned EJ that although he was Stefano’s son, he wasn’t the Phoenix. She said she didn’t know what she’d do if anything ever happened to him.
