Days of our Lives Recap February 24: Stephanie’s Nightmare, Steve and Jada’s Manhunt, EJ Finds Bug

TL;DR: In today’s Days of our Lives recap, Stephanie has a terrifying dream where Jeremy kidnaps her and shoots Alex. Kayla finds a guard unconscious and realizes Stephanie is missing. Steve and Jada coordinate a full-scale manhunt for Jeremy, EJ and Alex find a bug in a picture frame.

Days of our Lives Recap Feb 24

When Alex ran into EJ in the square, he thanked him for the engagement gift he’d sent, but EJ didn’t know what he was talking about. Alex immediately knew something was off and bolted with a curious EJ hot on his trail.

At the police station, Jada had all hands on deck to find Jeremy. Steve was there, and tried calling Stephanie to warn her, but she didn’t answer

Jeremy walked through the square wearing a hoodie. He heard a phone ringing, and pulled out the phone in his pocket. “Papa” it said on the screen.

The Hunt Widens

At the hospital, Kayla found the guard unconscious and called for help. She got to her office as Alex and EJ did and realized Stephanie was missing. 

Jada arrived and told EJ she’d need full access to search the hospital, including the lab, and wanted the CCTV security footage, stat.

EJ said he didn’t have a problem with that. He and Alex left to check the frame.

When Hanson the security guard awoke, he told Jada what he knew. He said that from what he saw, the kidnappper could be Jeremy.

Steve went to see Julie and told her that Jeremy was the one who had been stalking Stephanie, and that he had kidnapped Stephanie. 

Julie blamed herself for being blinded by her confidence in Jeremy. She suggested they check the Horton cabin on Smith Island as Jeremy liked it there when he was a child.

Chanel’s Check-Up

Chanel had a checkup with Sarah, and heard the baby’s heartbeat for the first time.

Sarah told her about Victoria asking for Xander sometimes and the guilt she felt. They empathized with one another about being protective mothers.

When Chanel went to leave, she ran into Paulina. They were shocked at all of the police swarming the hospital. Chanel suddenly clutched her stomach but told her mom she was okay.

Steve got to the hospital and told Jada about his visit with Julie. Jada tasked JJ with going to the cabin. 

EJ Finds the Bug

Alex and EJ went to his apartment to get the frame. EJ searched it and found the bug. Alex leaned into it and threatened the kidnapper that if he hurt Stephanie, he’d kill him.

Stephanie’s Nightmare

In a storage room somewhere, Stephanie awoke when a man in a doctor’s gown and mask came in. She gasped in horror when he removed the mask to reveal he was Jeremy.

Jeremy told Stephanie that he knew she loved him, and it was mutual. Stephanie denied it, but Jeremy said he read what she’d written about him and knew the truth.

Jeremy thought that as long as Alex was alive, Stephanie would have him in her head and heart, so he needed to kill him.

Stephanie screamed to come back and cried when he left, but he returned a while later — with Alex in tow at gunpoint.

Stephanie begged Jeremy that she would do anything he wanted as long as he didn’t hurt Alex.

Jeremy apologized that it wasn’t possible and shot Alex in front of her. She screamed as he fell at her feet. And then she woke up.
