Days of our Lives Feb 23

At the hospital, Steve and Kayla reviewed their plan again to catch the stalker with a fake wedding. Kayla said she trusted Steve, but she was feeling a mix of guilt and fear.

Kayla didn’t think that they should corner Jeremy, but Steve promised that they would protect Stephanie.

Stephanie and Alex Prepare for their Sting Operation

At Alex and Stephanie’s, the newlyweds reviewed their plan to catch the stalker, unaware that he was listening to the details through the hidden microphone in the photo frame.

Alex was certain the stalker was Jeremy, and thought the whole situation would be over by the end of the day. Jada came by and reiterated the plan.

Jada showed them a photo of Jeremy taken that day by a cop who was tailing him, so they would know what he was wearing.

Alex said he was going to go tell his dad what was going on before he had to be at the courthouse. The stalker listened in as Stephanie said that after it was over, they could tell everyone they secretly eloped.

Stephanie went to the hospital with her police escort and met with her parents. She was tearful and afraid, but grateful for their support and encouragement.

Stephanie’s escort promised her that he would be right outside the door and that if she needed anything, she should shout.

Steve and Jada On The Case

Steve went to see Jada at the police station, and she showed him security footage from the Halloween party. She found a man in a lab coat and mask about to stab Alex, and noted he was wearing the same costume as Jeremy.

Jada said they could now arrest Jeremy on charges that would stick. She made arrangements to arrest him as soon as school ended and the kids were gone.

Steve called Stephanie and told her the news. She was so relieved and wanted to call Alex. Steve told her that Jada was contacting him as they spoke. “It’s almost over, Little Sweetness,” Steve said. He told her to stay put in Kayla’s office until she heard from him.

Bonnie Gets A Deal

Johnny went to see Bonnie and told her that DiMera wanted to make her an offer for her book. Bonnie was thrilled. Justin came in as she was reading the contract.

Alex came in next, and Bonnie told him that DiMera offered her a deal on the book that Titan wouldn’t read. While Johnny was on a call, Bonnie and Justin told Alex they knew about his wedding at the courthouse later that day.

Alex told Justin and Bonnie that he and Stephanie had already eloped and told them all the details. They were afraid when he told them about the stalker and the sting operation. Later, Alex was sipping his champagne when he got a message from Jada telling him that the sting was off and to call her for details.

The Case Takes A Turn

Back at the police station, Jada hung up the phone, upset. She told Steve that Jeremy wasn’t at the school, but she’d told the officers to find him.

Jada tried calling Stephanie’s escort, but his phone was going straight to voicemail.

Kayla Makes a Grisly Discovery

At the nurses’ station, Kayla asked if she had time to return to her office before the next patient but was told a woman named Mrs. Walsh was anxious to see her. Kayla went into the examination room but the person was lying with the sheet fully over them. Kayla pulled back the sheet and found Stephanie’s police escort, unconscious.

Stephanie Is Kidnapped

In Kayla’s office, a doctor came in, and Stephanie told him that Kayla was called away for an emergency. He set down some vials, but instead of leaving, he quickly came up from behind her and put a chloroform cloth over her mouth.

Later, down a dark alley, Stephanie is seen in what looks like a storage room, tied and gagged…and unconscious.
