Days of our Lives Recap Feb 20

Cat came to Rafe’s house at his request; he wanted to tell her how Leo helped Dimitri flee the country. Cat updated him on her dinner with EJ and wondered why he was so interested in their history. Rafe asked if EJ hit on her.

Have You Seen This Man?

Jada went to the DiMera mansion to question EJ about Dimitri’s escape. She brought a search warrant with her and let him know that a police team was on the way.

Jada showed EJ the sketch that Liam did and asked if EJ recognized him as an accessory to his kidnapping.

Girlfriend Catch-Up

In the square, Gabi was on a business call but left it to take Philip’s call instead. She happily accepted his offer to take her out for dinner.

Jada joined Gabi, who told Jada about her trip with Philip and how supportive he’d been. “About what?” Jada wondered.

Gabi told Jada about how close she and Philip were, and Jada told her about her Valentine’s Day date with Theo, noting that they had chemistry.

When Gabi got home, she told Rafe that she and Philip were getting serious. As Rafe was telling Gabi that he was happy for her, he got a text with the results of the handwriting analysis from her divorce papers.

EJ Tries To Figure Out The Past

EJ called in Rita to tell her about the sketch artist’s rendering of the scarred man, and Dimitri’s trip to Alamainia. EJ wanted Dimitri dealt with, so he couldn’t tie him and Gwen to his kidnapping.

Also, if Dimitri proved Gwen was behind it, EJ added, her assets wouldn’t be unfrozen. EJ said he needed Gwen’s money for their project until they had Stefano’s inheritance distributed.

EJ asked Rita about the time he was in the Italian hospital, noting that when he awoke, his relationship with and feelings for Sami had changed.

EJ thought it was the trauma, but he never truly understood what caused the change. He wondered if it wasn’t about Sami at all, and was about Cat Greene instead.

Rita was surprised when EJ told her how Cat was also at the hospital recovering from a head injury, and she would read Wuthering Heights to him. All he knew was that he had a strong pull towards Cat now, and it made him wonder if something happened between them in Italy.

“Something that caused you to change your feelings towards Samantha?” Rita asked. “Exactly. Something that made me fall out of love with Samantha,” EJ confirmed.

Cat Tries To Break In

Cat went to the lab and pulled a light fob out of her purse. She shone it on the security access panel, and it changed colors. “Now we’re getting somewhere!” she said happily.

Dimitri Takes The Floor

In Alamainia, Dimitri and Leo checked into a hotel. Leo was surprised when Dimitri offered to sleep on the floor, but he wanted to show Leo appreciation for his help by respecting his boundaries. Leo watched while Dimitri removed his shirt, though.

Leo and Dimitri discussed their plan, and Leo was stunned when Dimitri showed him a gun. Leo clutched his invisible pearls and wondered what he’d gotten himself into.

At Vivian’s, Ivan took Vivian’s call and told her not to worry, he would take care of everything. The man with the face scar came in and asked if he could cover for him while he went to Salem.

Ivan said that Vivian wouldn’t mind if he took the jet, since he would cover any ties she had to Peter Blake. The scarred man admitted that there was just one person who could identify him, but he would take care of that.

Ivan told the man how Dimitri was in Alamainia, and he offered to take care of him before he left. “A very generous offer,” Ivan said. He told him he had it handled.

Dimitri and Leo Visit Vivian

Later, Dimitri and Leo showed up to see Vivian, but Ivan wouldn’t let them see her. Dimitri told him to stop playing games, but Ivan just smirked at his frustration.

Ivan served tea, but Leo said they preferred theirs without poison. Dimitri offered Ivan a sip from his cup, but he refused, so he told Leo they were leaving.

Dimiti told off Ivan, telling him that he lived a sad life working for Vivian. He barked at Ivan he’d be back to collect his belongings and to tell “madam” that it wasn’t over — “not by a long shot.”
