Days of our Lives Recap February 19: Xander Takes Off His Ring, Dimitri and Leo Escape

TL;DR: Xander and Gwen go public with their relationship, Dimitri and Leo make a daring escape to Alamainia, and Holly’s mood swings escalate in today’s Days of our Lives recap.

Days of our Lives Recap

At the Salem Inn, Leo and Dimitri were trying to get his ankle bracelet off to no avail. Leo said he had an idea.

Brady brought Rachel and Kristen to their new apartment, and she was happy until she found that she had to see another doctor. Kristen promised her she wasnt’ going to go back to Bayview.

Rachel noted she wanted to go to school as it was Thomas and Mr. Horton’s last days. Brady made her promise she didn’t have any pranks planned.

Gwen and Xander Go Public

Sarah was going through the square on her way to work when she saw Xander and Gwen together. Gwen spotted Sarah as well and made sure she kissed Xander in front of her. While Xander went to buy scones, Gwen called over Sarah to ensure she knew she and Xander were sleeping together, but Sarah claimed not to care what he did. That said, she shot Xander a look before leaving.

Sarah went to the hospital, where Brady and Kristen were bringing in Rachel for her appointment. Kristen glared at Sarah as they walked by.

While Rachel was in her appointment, Brady talked to Sarah and told her that Kristen saw the lipstick on his collar.

Sarah said that she saw Xander and Gwen together, and it made her envious that they had consummated their relationship. Sarah teased that it gave her ideas of how to get more lipstick on his collar.

Brady and Sarah were about to run off to the supply closet together when Leo came in yelling for help and holding up a limping Dimitri.

Dimitri’s Great Escape

Sarah took Dimitri into a room to examine him, but didn’t see any swelling. He insisted he was in pain, so Sarah called in to get permission to remove his bracelet to get scans of his ankle done. 

Once his bracelet was off and they were waiting for his xrays, Dimitri got his hands on a security uniform, and Leo pulled the fire alarm.

Dimitri and Leo got outside and headed for Leo’s car so they could get to the airport and board the private plane Dimitri had waiting to take them to Alamainia.

Gwen Can’t Fool Kristen

Kristen came to the square to meet Gwen for breakfast and was surprised to find her with Xander. Gwen told her they were just having cheeky fun, but when alone, added that she was happy to be with Xander while her husband was in prison.

When Gwen mused that Peter and Vivian had been working together, Kristen laughed at the notion. She said she wasn’t interested in punching a hole in Gwen’s story but knew she was up to something. 

Mood Swings

Tate was concerned watching Holly over breakfast, as her mood continued to change. She took more of her skin enhancement pills, then freaked out that there was a video of her screaming at the sorority leader. 

Holly worked herself up almost instantly, claiming that Macy was after Tate and then blaming him for Sophia taking him from her and getting pregnant. 

Holly ranted about everything that happened, and Tate was confused. He said he didn’t expect her to forget about it, but thought they had just basically made up.

Holly snapped about Sophia as well and said she didn’t think that Sophia was at all over what happened. “Are you?” Tate asked. He reminded her that she said was moved past everything.

Tate wondered why Holly would just change her mind. Holly started yelling at him, so he asked what was going on with her. 

Holly got upset and said she knew it wasn’t like her to act like that, and ran out.

Sophia Keeps Plotting

Meanwhile, in Bayview, Sophia pretended to take her meds but was collecting the pills. She asked to have her dosage increased and added to her collection in the mint tin.

In the square, Rachel asked Brady if she could wait outside while he went to the pub to pick up their food. Rachel quickly got out her phone and saw a message from Sophia asking for a favor.

Xander Lets Go

At the office, Xander made a call about taking a risky step. He also reiterated to whoever he was talking to that it couldn’t be traced back to him in any way.

He looked at his wedding ring and remembered the moment that Sarah put it on his finger. Xander took a deep breath and pulled his ring off.
