Days of our Lives Recap February 18: Gabi is devastated by Titan news, Gwen and Xander break the bed

TL;DR: In today’s Days of our Lives recap, Philip reveals bad news about Titan to a shocked Gabi, Theo’s mind is on Gabi during his Valentine’s date with Jada, Brady sets clear boundaries with a moving-in Kristen, and Xander and Gwen’s passion leads to a broken bed.

Days of our Lives Recap

After bumping into Theo on the way to dinner at the bistro, Paulina and Abe were in a great mood, knowing that their family was all happy and healthy.

In Florida, Gabi and Philip returned to their hotel room as he tried to mask the pain from a jellyfish sting.

While they were talking, Philip revealed that Titan was going under. Gabi felt awful that DiMera had that much of an effect on Titan.

Theo’s Thoughts Are Elsewhere

Theo met Jada at the pub for dinner. They talked about their last date, and Jada lamented that if she’d only shown up a minute or two earlier, she might have been able to thwart his kidnapping.

Jada said she wasn’t taking her eyes off of him that night, and Theo smiled. It was fine with him.

While chatting, Jada mentioned that Philip and Gabi were in Florida. Theo began fantasizing about being at the pub with Gabi.

Lipstick On His Collar

Rachel and Kristen had a fun day together and brought Valentine’s Day cards for Brady. He and Kristen told Rachel together that her mom would be temporarily moving in with them.

Rachel was thrilled until Brady told her that he and Kristen weren’t getting back together. He reiterated that their platonic status wouldn’t change. 

When Rachel was out of the room, Brady gave Kristen custody papers and told her if she wanted to move in the next day, she had to sign them that night, noting it had the stipulation she was only to stay at his place for one month. Kristen noticed with disdain that Brady had lipstick on his collar and knew he wasn’t keeping his word about staying away from Sarah until Rachel was ready.

After Brady left the hotel room, Rachel told her mom how excited she was to move in together and asked if it could be longer than one month. “We’ll see,” Kristen told her.

Gwen and Xander Talk About Feelings

At the DiMera mansion, Xander and Gwen were drinking EJ’s selected wine in bed. Before they could finish their glass, Gwen told Xander to get out.

Gwen assumed his mind was on Sarah. Picking up that she was worried about getting hurt, Xander assured her that the only woman on his mind was Gwen.

Cat came to EJ’s for dinner with a bottle of Italian wine. He thanked her but said he’d pulled a bottle from his private reserve for the evening. However, when he looked, it was gone. 

EJ knew that Gwen must have taken it, and proceeded to have dinner with Cat’s $17 bottle instead. EJ wondered if it would help jog his memory if she read Wuthering Heights to him.

EJ and Cat Try To Remember Of Their Past

Cat read to EJ, who listened intently with his eyes closed. He was suddenly disrupted by a loud crash.

Gwen and Xander ran into the room in their robes to grab another bottle of wine. They laughed about having broken the bed and went back upstairs.

Once alone, EJ talked about working with Xander, and Cat asked why they acquired the hospital together. EJ told her about the new miracle drug they were working with.

EJ said that, since they were working together, it would be best if they had 100% transparency. Cat asked if he wanted to get back to reading the book, but EJ was distracted.

EJ said that even though he knew what was in his father’s will, it wouldn’t surprise him if Stefano found a way to pit his siblings and him against one another.
