Days of our Lives Recap Dec 3: Marlena leans on Leo

In the Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, Brady vents to Maggie, Marlena is grateful to have a friend, Ari gets an offer, and Sophia gets info from Rachel.

Days of our Lives Recap

Leo came to see Marlena in the hospital and brought her coloring books. She told him she really needed to see him and was glad he was there. Leo asked Marlena to officiate at his and Javi’s wedding. Marlena was happy to accept and asked about the proposal. Leo told her all the details. 

Marlena told Leo that she’d caused an upset in her family. She explained she’d made a terrible error in judgment, and she couldn’t fix the damage caused. Marlena eventually smiled when Leo told her she was infallible to him and cherished her friendship.

Kate came to see Maggie and told her she knew that she wanted to use the house as collateral. She wanted to offer her business advice, starting with telling her that she wasn’t ruthless enough. She also thought that with Tony missing, it was a good time to lure some of the great people back that the company had lost. Maggie didn’t want to take advantage of a kidnapping and told Kate to stay in her lane.

At home, Brady told Tate that he had admitted Rachel for reasons he didn’t know yet. Brady told him that Rachel shot EJ. According to the doctors, she had a lack of impulse control. He asked that Tate only tell people that Rachel was getting treatment as a way to handle Kristen’s escape. Tate promised not to tell anyone, not even Holly.

Brady went to see Maggie and apologized for what happened to Sarah. He told her about Rachel being in Bayview and felt bad for missing the signs, but added that Marlena knew and didn’t tell him. Maggie tried to reason with him, but Brady said Marlena betrayed his trust and now Rachel was in a mental ward because of her. Maggie calmed him, but he didn’t want to live with Marlena anymore. 

Brady said he’d gone to an AA meeting. He wasn’t sure if he’d be able to stay on track at Marlena’s, and had been thinking for a while that he should get his own place. Maggie told Brady he could move in until he found his own place. 

In the square, Holly told Ari that she had a feeling something was off with Tate. Later, they ran into Tate outside the pub, and he told them about Marlena’s surgery and Rachel being in Bayview. Tate was on his way to see his sister, but Holly asked if he had class in half an hour. Tate left anyway without explanation, though Ari recalled him telling her he was flunking.

Holly and Ari went to the pub and talked about Tate. Holly wished she could do something to help, but had to work. When Holly left to go through Stephanie’s fan mail, Kate took her spot. Ari told her about Javi’s engagement and that she wasn’t happy about it. She said that she tried to tolerate Leo, but couldn’t welcome him to the family after what he did to her dads. “I don’t hate him, I just don’t want to be related to him,” Ari added. Ari asked about getting the internship she wanted at Titan but Kate told her with the cutbacks, it wasn’t likely to happen. Kate offered to help get her an internship at DiMera instead. 

In Bayview. Sophia told Rachel that she just wanted people to think she couldn’t talk anymore and asked her to keep it a secret. She thought Rachel seemed scared, so she came to be with her. Sophia said they had a lot in common, like Tate, and that she’d have her back because she was his sister. She asked Rachel why she was there. 

Rachel admitted she’d almost made two people die, but didn’t want to give her details. Sophia asked if she knew who adopted her baby. Before Rachel could answer, Tate walked in. Sophia went back to her trance-like state while sitting at the end of Rachel’s bed. 

Rachel said that Sophia just came in and didn’t talk. Tate told Sophia that he’d come see her later, but wanted to see his sister first. Sophia walked out without acknowledging him. Tate visited with Rachel for a while, but when the nurse said visiting hours were over, she was upset and wanted to go with him. Tate promised to visit her every day and left.

Tate saw Sophia before leaving Bayview. He apologized for never coming to see her and thanked her for visiting Rachel. He told her he still didn’t understand everything and wished she could tell him. Tate said he thought about her a lot and would visit her when he came to see his sister.

After Tate left, Sophia returned to Rachel’s room and asked again about the adoption. “Don’t tell me Johnny and Chanel DiMera have my baby,” Sophia said. Her smile faded when Rachel told her that they did. Sophia stepped away, smiling while telling Rachel she wasn’t mad at her for being the messenger. But in her hand, she angrily crushed her paper cup.

In the square, Holly read Stephanie’s fan mail. One in particular talked about how they were meant to be together. She noticed several other envelopes with the same handwriting.
