Days of our Lives Recap

Paulina was babysitting Trey and finally had him asleep when Chanel came home. She told her that Theo was missing. Chanel had just talked to Johnny, who was on his way home from Chicago, and he hadn’t mentioned anything, so she knew that he had no idea. She worried if he and Trey were safe. Paulina promised to keep them safe.
Chanel thought that if EJ was behind it, he’d want to hurt her as he didn’t consider her family.
At the pub, Tate was shocked when Brady told him he was moving out of Marlena’s. Brady wouldn’t say what they had a falling out about, but said that it was a long time coming that he got his own place. Brady admitted he was going to live at the Kiriakis mansion until he found a home of his own.
Brady assured Tate that it had nothing to do with him, and he was welcome to stay living there if he wanted to. Tate didn’t know what he wanted to do yet. Brady asked him to come with him to the Kiriakis estate, adding sadly, “At least I’d have one of my kids with me for the holidays.”
In Bayview, Sophia offered to sneak out and get burgers for her and Rachel. Sophia told her about one of the guards who leaves the door ajar while he takes smoke breaks, and thought she could sneak in and out unnoticed, with Rachel’s help. “I’m in. Let’s do this,” Rachel said after a little convincing.
Rachel hid in Sophia’s bed and was there when the nurse came through to do a bed check. She ran back to her room and was thrilled when Sophia came back with food. Sophia drove home that they did it together.
Sophia admitted she’d stolen money from one of the CMA’s to pay for their meal. Rachel appreciated how fun and bad Sophia was. By the time they were done eating, they had a secret handshake, a promise of more shenanigans to come, and a movie review on Who Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.
In her hotel room, Stephanie called Steve and told him about the book signing. Outside of her room lurked someone in a black leather jacket and gloves, and a hotel suite card in his hand. Stephanie was terrified when she saw the hotel room door open and lunged at the figure with a knife. But, it turned out to be Alex, who just wanted to surprise her.
Stephanie was mad, and scared that she’d almost hurt him, but overall was happy that he was there. Outside in the hall, the person in the black leather jacket and gloves lurked again. Alex told Stephanie that she received more creepy fan mail from the same person. She didn’t know who it could be and hadn’t met anyone suspicious at her book signing.
After fooling around, Alex told Stephanie that he could see them married and starting a family in a few years. She said it didn’t scare her, but her heart was beating fast in a happy way.
Sarah chatted with Holly before she left for the dorms to meet with Tate. Holly was glad she and Tate worked things out; she wished that Sarah and Xander could have as well. Sarah thought the holidays could be a little sad, but knew she had to move on.
Holly left and met Tate, who told her that Brady was moving from his grandmother’s home into her grandmother’s house. After they made out, Holly asked Tate to come with her to Paris for the holidays and he said yes.
Sarah was surprised when Brady walked in with suitcases and asked what was up. She was surprised when he told her that he was moving in, but thought it would be nice to have his company. Brady told Sarah that Marlena had known for months that Rachel shot EJ. Marlena’s reasoning made sense to Sarah but not to Brady.
They talked about Rachel, and Sarah repeated her empathy for her. Brady admitted that he felt guilty for the way he’d treated Kristen when she was taking the blame for shooting EJ. He assured Sarah he hadn’t changed his feelings for her, though.
Brady shared how much pain he was in, worrying for Rachel and having his heart break every time he had to say goodbye to her at Bayview when he visited. Sarah hugged him.
SandsFan69 wrote a message on his computer: “I’m so freakin’ in love with Anastatsia Sanda. She is even more beautiful than the women in her books. If only I cold get rid of her loser boyfrida, she and I could finally be together.
