TL;DR: In today’s Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, August 6th, 2026, Kristen secretly said goodbye to Rachel, Holly learned Sarah suspects EJ framed her, Amy confronted Holly, and EJ called Xander and Philip’s loan.

Days of our Lives Recap August 6

At home, Holly told Sarah that she someone planted the pills in her bag and she was freaked out that it could happen again. She pleaded with Sarah to tell her who she thought was behind it.

Sarah reluctantly told Holly the whole story about DiMera Pharmaceuticals, and the island and cabin well. Holly realized she was suggesting that EJ was behind it.

After Sarah left, Amy Choi walked in. She told Holly she’d sent her the sunflowers because they were Sophia’s favorite. She wanted to remember her every day and what Holly had done to her.

Amy told Holly she only dropped the case because EJ was a bully just like her. She promised to never stop reminding her what she’d done. She said she would be everywhere she went so she would never forget.

Brady and Steve worry about Kristen

Brady and Steve met at the pub, and talked about Kristen’s emotional state recently and how it seemed like she was saying goodbye. Steve thought that EJ was going to screw up sooner or later and expose what he’s been up to.

Steve confirmed there had been no activity on Kristen’s credit cards or car. Brady read her last text again, and she’d signed it ‘au revoir’ meaning until they saw one another again. They took it to mean that she would be back, but the question was when.

Kristen secretly says goodbye to Rachel

Rachel was at home wondering where her mom could be when Susan showed up. She gave her a hug and told her she had a message for her. Susan told Rachel that her mom wasn’t actually coming back for quite a while.

Brady came home and interrupted. He told Rachel he wanted to speak to her Aunt Susan for a moment but the second he pulled her into the other room, he asked Kristen what she was doing.

Kristen tried to explain that she didn’t know what else to do. Brady offered to help her, but Kristen just wanted him to take care of Rachel.

Brady asked where she was going but she said he couldn’t know the details for his own protection. Kristen said once the danger had passed she would return. Kristen gave Brady a number in case of an emergency with Rachel to get in touch. Then she hugged him and left in tears.

Gabi and EJ go to war

In the square, Xander and Philip wished they saw the look on EJ’s face when he found out, but a moment later, he appeared. They got the chance when they realized he didn’t know that not only did they make their loan payment, but they paid it for the next year as well.

EJ told them to enjoy it while they could, then walked away to call Rita. He told her to find out where they got the money.

Shortly thereafter, EJ burst into Gabi’s office and told her she wasn’t going to get away with it. “Oh honey, I already have,” Gabi told him. EJ went off on Gabi, but she asked what he was going to do about it — kill her? “Don’t tempt me!” EJ snapped.

Gabi accused EJ of running the counterfeit handbags ring. He laughed at her, but she told him that she was finding proof that DiMera was behind it, since the prototype she’d given Ari was stolen from her desk.

EJ got Gabi to admit she got a seat on the board. He said she’d regret it before leaving and calling Rita to take care of something.

EJ calls the loan

Meanwhile in the square, Xander and Philip talked about what happened in the cellar with Sarah. Xander told Philip he was glad he interrupted when he did, and that he needed to work on himself more before reconciling.

Xander said until he was better, he’d focus on being a good co-parent. “Sure, Xander, you keep telling yourself that,” Philip told him. He said he gave Sarah and Brady a month.

When Gabi returned, she told Xander and Philip she couldn’t go back but hoped it was a step in the right direction in dealing for what she’d done.

Just as Philip and Gabi poured champagne, anger had a phone call. Infuriated, he told Philip and Gabi that EJ just called the loan and they had to pay it in full by the end of the month.
