Days of our Lives Recap April 15: Johnny’s Shocking Discovery; Dimitri Signs Divorce, Leo Sees Javi

TL;DR: In today’s Days of our Lives recap, Johnny and Chanel’s intimate evening is interrupted by a terrifying discovery, while Dimitri grants Gwen her freedom but promises future karma retribution. Theo is quiet at trivia, thrown off by the news that Shawn is staying with Jada, and Leo is shocked when he comes face-to-face with Javi.

Days of our Lives Recap April 15

In the square, Leo passed Dimitri. They looked at one another, then Dimitri walked away. Leo then ran into Chanel, Johnny, and Trey. Leo got emotional seeing the baby, but then EJ stopped by so he left.

EJ was happily shocked when Chanel invited him to get some gelato with them.

Chanel thanked EJ for his help with the adoption, and EJ admitted he was trying to be Johnny’s hero. He told them that he wanted a relationship with all of them and promised to never let them down ever again.

Later, Chanel and Johnny went home and made love. While they were intimate, Johnny stopped and told Chanel he thought he might have just felt a lump.

Gwen and Dimitri’s Divorce

At the DiMera mansion, Dimitri came home and found Gwen in the living room, ready to sign the settlement. Dimitri told her that she and Leo weren’t together, and never would be.

Dimitri pointed out that since it was Leo who wanted him to do the settlement so they could get on with their relationship, he didn’t see the point of signing the divorce papers now that they wouldn’t be together.

Gwen threatened to cohabitate with him and make his life a high-profile living hell if he didn’t divorce her. 

Dimitri refused to argue, so Gwen tearfully asked him to remember the days when they were in love, and to do the right thing for both of them. Dimitri told her to give him the papers. 

Dimitri Makes A Decision

Dimitri took the file and opened it as Gwen held her breath. He flipped through them to get to the signature page and signed them, but when he handed them back, he promised to still find proof that she kidnapped him.

“When I do, you’re in for a world of pain,” Dimitri warned. He said he had to hand it to her for getting everything she ever wanted: a bank account, flush with cash, destroying what Leo and I had and could’ve had,” he said. He told her to be careful and warned her about karma.

Dimitri kissed Gwen on the cheek before walking away, but EJ came in and exchanged barbs. Dimitri said he’d be leaving immediately, and declined the invitation on behalf of his mother ot attend the will reading, saying they didn’t need anything from the DiMeras.

After Dimitri left, Gwen told EJ that he’d signed the divorce papers but EJ was suspicious that he did it so quickly.

Trivia Night at the Pub

Theo and Jada got to the pub for trivia night, and to Theo’s surprise, Roman thanked Jada for taking care of Shawn during his recovery. Jada explained to Theo that they were just friends and would remain that way.

Gabi and Philip joined them, ready to compete. They saw Leo come in, and Gabi went to his table to question him about Dimitri, but he told her that there was nothing there, and Javi was his one and only love.

Later, Leo asked Theo why he quit DiMera, and he snapped at him and Philip. Meanwhile, Gabi mentioned to Jada about Theo quitting, and she had no idea. A temperamental Theo seemed quiet and grumpy, and was slamming back drinks. 

Trivia started, and Theo still wasn’t talking, despite Jada’s enthusiasm. In the final question of the round, Theo answered, but pulled away from Jada when she cheered him on.

Leo and Theo Leave Early

At the start of round two, Leo decided to go, and Theo said he would as well. Jada was confused and a little embarrassed when he didn’t even say goodbye to her directly.

Gabi offered to go talk to Theo, leaving Jada and Philip to wonder what was going on. 

Gabi found Theo on a park bench, and he told her it was just too much all at once. He told her he wanted to be alone and walked away.

Gabi returned to the pub and convinced Jada to stay and play more trivia with them. 

When Leo left, he called Marlena and left her a message to let her know how his evening went and thanked her for feeling stronger. As he was talking, he suddenly stopped. “Javi?” he gasped as he saw him walk by.
