Days of our Lives: Joy Wesley Returns with Alex Kiriakis’ Baby

On Days of our Lives, Joy Wesley returns! Just as Alex Kiriakis finally had hope that his brand new marriage was about to get back on track, a ghost from the past appeared at his door today — and she’s coming with a shocking revelation.

Who is Joy Wesley on Days of our Lives?

In late 2024, Craig (Kevin Spirtas) and Nancy (Patrika Darbo) Wesley’s daughter, Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins), came to Salem and caused a stir. When viewers last saw her in March 2025, she took that stir with her.

Long story short, Nancy was getting on Joy’s last nerve, so she went to the bar, where she ran into a down-in-the-dumps Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), who thought Chanel (Raven Bowens) was cheating on him. 

Joy listened, they got drunk, and they ended up in bed together. The next day, Johnny realized that Chanel wasn’t cheating at all, and then went through a few tortured months of guilt and lies.

Joy ended up dating Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), but he was still in love with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). Ultimately, Joy and Alex broke up, Alex and Stephanie got together, and a year later, they’re married.

However, Joy left town last year after she and Alex broke up — because she was pregnant with his child.

And Baby Makes Four

The day after Alex and Stephanie got married, Stephanie and Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark) were kidnapped by Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey). 

Since then, Alex has desperately wanted to be close to his wife and help her but she’s kept distance between them as she’s healed, and leaned on Jeremy instead.

Having Joy show up now couldn’t be worse timing for their relationship. And that’s not even with the baby factor.

Hopkins reminded TVInsider that Joy usually has an agenda, adding, “It comes from a good place, but she comes back because Alex is the dad and she wants to give her daughter a chance that I don’t think she ever got growing up.”
