Sparks: They are the “Normal” Ones
Let’s be honest. In a town full of resurrected villains and possessed psychiatrists, Chad and Belle are the “sane” ones in their respective families. They share a unique trauma bond.
Belle has spent a lifetime dealing with Marlena’s devilish drama, while Chad carries the burden of the DiMera legacy. They speak the same language of family obligation and public scandal.
There is a comfort level there; they don’t need to explain their baggage because they’ve been tripping over it for years. If they are looking for safety and understanding, this date makes sense.
Brake Lights: The Brother and The Ex
Now for the reality check. The biggest brake light flashing red is named EJ DiMera. We cannot forget that Belle didn’t just have a fling with Chad’s brother; she sought solace in EJ’s bed when her marriage to Shawn hit the rocks.
