Has Brooke Logan Been Projecting Her Own History?

For decades, Brooke Logan has followed one guiding principle: if something feels right in her heart, it’s worth fighting for. Whether viewers have celebrated her determination or criticized her choices, Brooke has always believed she was acting out of love rather than selfishness.

But as Katie has found success with Logan, and Hope embraces a fresh start away from Forrester Creations, Brooke has repeatedly framed their decisions as personal betrayals.

We couldn’t help but notice that, looking back at Brooke’s history, a familiar pattern has emerged.

Brooke Seems to Experience Other People’s Choices as Her Own Losses

Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) decision to leave Forrester wasn’t made overnight. After spending more than a year watching her fashion line remain shelved while promises of a relaunch came and went, she reached the point where she no longer believed her future was a priority. Logan offered something Forrester no longer seemed willing to provide: an opportunity to create again.

Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), however, views the decision very differently. Rather than recognizing the frustrations that led Hope to walk away, she speaks as though Hope had taken something from the family by joining Logan.

A similar dynamic emerged with Katie. Instead of celebrating her sister’s determination to build something from the ground up, Brooke suggested that Logan’s success somehow came at her expense. Neither woman had taken Brooke’s career, her position, or her future, yet Brooke responded as though their independence diminished her own place within the family.

Brooke’s History Gives Those Reactions New Meaning

Brooke’s past never feels disconnected from her present. Few characters on daytime television carry as much emotional history, and even fewer have repeatedly navigated relationships that complicate their family dynamics.

Over the years, Brooke has pursued relationships with men who already shared deep connections to women closest to her. Those stories became defining chapters of her life, shaping not only how other characters viewed her but also how viewers understood the way Brooke approached love, loyalty, and competition.

That history doesn’t automatically explain her current behavior, but it does provide an interesting lens through which to view it.

Hope and Brooke Aren’t Having the Same Conversation

Brooke doesn’t simply disagree with Hope and Katie’s decisions. She experiences those moments as though something were being taken away from her. Brooke’s emotional responses often center on her own sense of loss rather than the reasons behind someone else’s choice.

Hope believes Forrester gave up on her long before she ever walked away. When Logan offered a chance to move forward, she accepted it. Brooke hears that same story through an entirely different filter.

Where Hope sees independence, Brooke sees abandonment. Where Hope believes she was forced to create a new opportunity, Brooke is mourning what she feels has been lost. They’re responding to the same events, but neither woman is arguing about the same thing.

A Different Lens Changes the Story

It’s easy to reduce Brooke’s recent behavior to another chapter in an endless Logan-versus-Forrester feud. Looking at the story through a different lens, however, reveals something more layered than a simple disagreement over business or family loyalty.

Hope didn’t leave because she wanted to hurt Brooke. Katie didn’t build Logan to compete with her sister. Yet Brooke continues to respond as though both women have taken something deeply personal away from her.

Whether that’s projection, unresolved history, or simply the perspective of someone who has spent decades trying to feel like she’s made her own place in the world, it’s Brooke’s pattern. Brooke might have to accept that someone else’s success doesn’t equate to her failure before she can find a way to be happy for her sister and daughter.

  • Brooke needs to get over herself and realize it’s not all about her. Katie has a right to do what she wants and Hope is a grown woman who has been treated like she’s a child by Forrester for years. Glad to see she finally got away from them. Eric needs to admit that he was betrayed by his own family. He went to Katie for a job. Now he acts like she betrayed him when it was th other way around.
