The Bold and the Beautiful Recap September 3: Katie Bomb Drops Darcy Then Rejects Dylan

TL;DR: In today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, RJ and Electra get approval for their secret fashion line, while Katie reveals details about Dylan’s life in L.A. to Darcy, then officially decides she doesn’t want her son dating her. Meanwhile, Dylan tries to explain herself to Darcy and rushes to stop Katie from driving Will away.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap September 3

At Forrester, RJ and Electra pitched their line to Ridge, Brooke, and Eric. Brooke paused the meeting to recall how Hope used to run that line but left them to go to Logan.

RJ said it was okay, though, because Brooke’s son was still there and had a new line to replace HFTF, and the face of it was a Forrester, not a Logan. Back to the business at hand, Brooke perked up and told Electra how grace and humility were something you had to be born with, and she could relate.

After their pitch, everyone agreed to go ahead with the Electra line. Eric said it wasn’t just because they were great designers; it was about character. He felt that RJ and Electra defined what it meant to find true beauty within. Ridge said that Zende was also joining the team because he had experience.

Ridge reiterated that the line had to be kept secret from everyone, and Electra and RJ agreed. After the meeting, RJ shut the door. Once alone, RJ listened as Electra told him how she would read magazine articles about the rich Forrester relatives she had in L.A. She said she looked up to them, and dreamt of being one of them. “And now you are,” RJ told her. 

RJ said that the two of them were taking Forrester to the next level. He said he could see it already: the two of them on the runway to standing ovations and sold-out crowds. “We’re going to show Logan and Spencer exactly who owns the fashion industry,” he promised.

Katie Tells All Of Dylan’s Secrets

At Bikini, Katie bomb-dropped to Darcy that Dylan was dating Will, that she’d moved in with him while he was dating Electra Forrester, that Dylan lived in her car for a little while, and that she also had a job at Forrester. Katie then questioned Dylan about why she never told her mom all of these things.

Darcy’s main concern was that her daughter was living in her car and she didn’t know. Katie questioned how close they must be if she had no idea. Darcy stammered that she did the best that she could as a mother but was confused why she was defending herself, and why Katie Logan Spencer was defining their lives.

Dylan tried to explain that she was going to talk to her mom about all of it in person, but Katie said she had enough to form an opinion of her now and walked out. Dylan tried to call after her to let her explain to both Darcy and Katie at the same time, but Katie dismissed her and left. Darcy, meanwhile, was still devastated to know that her daughter had been homeless.

Dylan Explains To Darcy

Once alone, Darcy was hurt that Dylan kept it from her that she had been living in her car. Dylan said she had enough going on and didn’t want to dump her problems onto her as well. Darcy cried that Dylan could have been hurt. Dylan said she didn’t sleep much and it was scary but she was okay. 

Dylan explained that Will let her move into the apartment above his garage to help her get back on her feet. Darcy was mostly upset that she didn’t know Dylan had struggled, but thought it was unbelievable that her boyfriend was Bill and Katie Spencer’s son.

Dylan apologized for not saying something, and said that it took her a long time to turn things around. She said that now things were great; she had two jobs, and she was in love. But she was upset that things had gone sideways with Katie. 

Dylan wanted to get in touch with Will before Katie did but when she tried, her call went to voicemail. She decided to go there in person, and told her mom to eat more nachos and flirt with Deacon while she was gone.

At the beach house, Bill walked in and teased Will about them making a big deal of him returning to work, then not seeing him since. He assured his dad that he may have been at home, but was definitely working. Bill was glad he’d moved on from Electra, and pointed out she wasn’t a unicorn.

Will said that Dylan was helping him get his mind off of Electra but wished that Katie wasn’t so judgmental of her. Bill said she was just looking out for her Willy-bear.

Bill went back to work when Katie came to the beach house. She told Will she had more concerns than ever about Dylan. Will defended Dylan and said that Katie didn’t have a right to be so down on her or her mother.

Katie told him that they knew nothing about Dylan, and apparently her mother knew even less. As Katie was worked up about how Dylan hadn’t told her mom anything about her life in L.A., Dylan walked in. “Oh! Here she is, right on cue to do damage control. It’s too late, sweetheart,” Katie snapped.

Dylan said she was glad that Katie was there so she could explain. Dylan said it wasn’t that simple of why she didn’t tell her mom anything. Katie said there was one thing she was sure of: Dylan didn’t deserve to be with her son.
