The Bold and the Beautiful Recap September 2: Katie Meets Dylan’s Mother, Darcy Flirts With Deacon

TL;DR: In today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, September 3rd, 2026, Katie meets Dylan’s mother, Darcy, after learning about her son Will’s relationship with Dylan, while Electra struggles with the news that Will and Dylan slept together.

At the beach house, Dylan came to see Will and told him about her conversation with Electra. She added that her mom just came to town, and Will said he’d like to meet her. “You’re not the only one,” Dylan said, adding that Katie also wanted to meet Darcy.

Will thought it was a good idea, as it would give Katie a non-invasive way to dig. “Who knows, maybe they’ll end up being best friends,” he said. Dylan noted that she was supposed to meet her mom at Bikini when she landed and had to get going to be on time. She added that she’d let Katie know as well.

After Dylan left, Wyatt showed up, and Will updated him on their relationship status. He shared that Dylan worked at Forrester and Bikini, and was on her way to meet her mom. Wyatt wanted to hear that story, so Will told him.

Wyatt thought Katie was just looking out for “her precious baby boy,” and Will agreed. He just worried that Katie was going in with preconceived notions, and it wouldn’t go well if Darcy wasn’t exactly who she wanted her to be.

Electra Shares Will and Dylan’s Relationship Details

In the design office, Electra told RJ that Dylan and Will had consummated their relationship, and he comforted her with a hug. Electra cried that it was so painful and that she would always love Will as RJ let out a heavy sigh behind her.

RJ promised to be there for Electra but changed the subject to The Electra Line, which made her instantly light up. He reminded her that they had to keep it a secret, especially from “you know who.”

Deacon and Darcy Flirt

At Spencer, Katie and Bill talked about Will, and Katie’s concerns about Dylan. She told him that she asked to meet her mom, thinking that would be the best insight into how she was raised and therefore who she was. Just then, she got a message from Dylan that she and her mom were at Bikini.

Meanwhile, Dylan’s mom, Darcy, arrived at Bikini and was in awe of the bar on the beach where she got to work. She said her credit cards were maxed out but assumed that she needed money trying to make it in L.A. and handed her an envelope with $500 in it.

Dylan thanked her but said that wasn’t why she asked her to come. Darcy was touched that he just wanted to see her, as they hadn’t been that close lately. Kelly spotted Deacon walk in and asked who that tall drink of water was. “Me?” Deacon asked as he came right over. Dylan introduced her boss, who kissed Darcy’s hand. She asked if all the men in Los Angeles were as handsome as him, and he said no.

Darcy charmingly asked if Deacon could be her tour guide, and pinched his cheek as she called him handsome. He seemed to find her entertaining; Deacon noted that he was as spicy as she seemed to think. The two flirted and bantered shamelessly as Dylan cringed at both of them.

Katie Meets Darcy

Deacon said he had to get back to work and told Darcy it was a pleasure to meet her.  Once alone, Darcy told Dylan that she didn’t hear much from her anymore. Dylan said there was a reason she asked her to come out, and that there were some things going on in her life that she needed to know. Deacon served them nachos and margaritas on the house and told Dylan to take the rest of the day off, but she still hadn’t told her mom what was going on when Katie arrived. 

Darcy recognized Katie when she saw her and couldn’t believe it when she approached their table. “Hello, Melissa,” Katie said to Dylan. Darcy was taken aback and fangirled that she couldn’t believe she was meeting her. Katie haughtily told her that she didn’t know why she was surprised, as she’d told her daughter that she wanted to meet her. “Meet me? Why?” Darcy asked.

“Why do you think? You have no idea?” Katie asked. Dylan scrambled to explain that she was just about to tell her mom when Katie walked in. Katie interupted to say, “Your daughter is seeing my son.” Darcy realized Dylan and Will were seeing one another, and said to Dylan, “You didn’t tell me that your boyfriend was Bill and Katie Spencer’s son.” Katie looked quizzically at both of them.
