The Bold and the Beautiful Recap October 2: Carter Reveals Steffy Is Pregnant, Katie Offers Zende A Job

TL;DR: In today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, October 2nd, 2026, Carter tells Daphne that Steffy is pregnant and will be their surrogate, while Katie offers Zende a job at Logan and Will stands up to his mother over Dylan.

In the design office, Dylan told Zende that it would help her with Katie if he returned Hope’s calls, but said not to do it for her; to do it for his own opportunity. Meanwhile, Will went to Katie’s office and told her to quit pressuring Dylan to recruit Zende for her. Hope clarified that she just wanted to tell Zende how sorry she was for leaving him behind.

Will went to the showroom and met Dylan, where he told her that he’d spoken to Katie. She didn’t want to cause more friction with his mom, but Will admitted having Zende join the team wasn’t a bad idea. He made her promise that whatever happened with Zende, Dylan would feel like it was her responsibility.

Will said that Katie seemed to think that Dylan had to earn a spot in his heart, but she didn’t realize she was already there. Will said he wasn’t waiting around for Katie to catch up; he was an adult and in a relationship with someone he cared about.

Katie Offers Zende A Job At Logan

Upstairs, Katie was lamenting that Dylan hadn’t checked in when she was notified that Zende was there. He came in, and Hope apologized to him. He went off on her about his dedication, and how it wasn’t appreciated. 

Katie stepped in and told Zende that she understood how left behind he must have felt. She offered him the opportunity to come to Logan and work with her again.

Ridge Is Happy For Carter

In the CEO’s office, Ridge wanted to meet with Carter about finances, but he was nowhere to be found. He asked Daphne to tell Carter for him when she saw him. Before he and Brooke left the office, Ridge told Daphne that he was really happy that they were having a baby.

At home, Ridge was concerned that he hadn’t heard from Carter, but Brooke reminded him he was a busy guy. Ridge was so happy for Carter; he wanted to share the joy. They cuddled on the couch, and Brooke lamented about Katie, and they hoped that “that woman” would step up and be a surrogate.

Carter Announces Steffy’s Pregnancy

At the cliff house, Carter couldn’t wait any longer. He wanted Steffy to just tell Daphne and Finn that they’d already done all the preliminary considerations, taken a frozen egg, and confirmed that Steffy was pregnant. He wanted to tell Daphne immediately, and believed that Daphne and Finn would have no questions.

Carter convinced Steffy to go to the office with him and tell Daphne. In the CEO’s office, she tried again to suggest that they tell the truth instead, saying it would make them feel better than the disgust they felt. Carter agreed he was disgusted too, but wanted to lie forever instead. “The truth is we have marriages to protect; we have children’s futures to think about,” he said. 

Carter told Steffy that her only alternative would be to break up her family; Kelly and Hayes’ lives would be ruined, and she’d have to have a baby that was bouncing back and forth between her house and his. He said instead, it would have all the love in the world. Steffy argued that it would be missing her love.

Just then, Daphne came in, curious about what Carter texted her about. He said that Steffy had great news and told Steffy to tell Daphne what it was. Steffy froze, so Carter announced that they’d done the egg donation and fertilization on their own, and that Steffy was pregnant and their surrogate.
