The Bold and the Beautiful Recap October 1: Carter Pressures Steffy, Katie Reveals Her Motivation

TL;DR: In today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, October 1st, 2026, Carter pressures Steffy to reveal she is carrying his baby, Dylan tries again to get Zende to Logan, and Will and Dylan grow closer.

At the beach house, Will and Dylan fooled around instead of going to work. Dylan told Will she’d keep finding creative ways to make him happy and show her love; he told her he was really into her. 

Will promised to talk to his mom about her hazing. Dylan decided to go into work and try talking to Zende again just in case. When she got there, Zende had just been looking at his messages from Hope but pretended he wasn’t and asked Dylan what was in it for her if he talked to Hope.

Dylan admitted Katie asked her to, but assured him it wasn’t sneaky. Zende admitted he was still upset and wasn’t sure what he would say if he was with Hope and Katie.

Katie Shares Her Motivations

At Spencer, Hope and Katie talked about Dylan, and Hope asked if Katie would really give Dylan a chance if she came through with Zende. Katie smirked that she’d cross that bridge if they came to it.

Hope shared that she’d heard from Brooke, and her message said she missed her. Katie told Hope about her fight with Brooke at the Forresters when she was banned from the family. 

Katie ranted about Brooke going after Bill and how she forgave her for it, but now Brooke wouldn’t forgive Katie. She said her role in the relationship was to forgive the unforgivable. Katie said it still bothered her, but she was going to try to stop shedding so many tears because they were wasted on Brooke.

Katie hoped that Zende would join their family and they would keep succeeding at what they were doing. She admitted that her history with Brooke made her success just a little bit sweeter.

Daphne Wants To Tell Her Secret

Across the hall, Brooke lamented about Hope, and Katie then told Daphne and Ridge to drop it. Instead, she asked Daphne how trying to have a baby was going. Daphne said she and Carter might have found a surrogate.

Ridge dropped his work to ask who the special person could be, and Brooke also wanted to know more about them. Daphne recalled Carter telling her to keep it under wraps for now and said she couldn’t say yet.

Carter Pressures Steffy

At Steffy’s, Carter continued to pressure Steffy to announce that the egg donation was already done and that she was definitely their surrogate. Carter said he knew the sacrifice they were making, but Steffy snapped that he wasn’t sacrificing anything like she was.

Steffy said she couldn’t do it, and that Finn didn’t want her to, either. She pointed out he was a doctor and would want to be at every appointment. “It’s going to be okay!” Carter yelled at her. Carter calmed his voice but ignored Finn’s input and insisted that today was the day they had to tell Daphne that she was carrying his baby.
