The Bold and the Beautiful Recap May 26: Will Punches RJ and Hope Takes a Leave From Forrester

TL;DR: In today’s Bold and the Beautiful recap, Hope dramatically leaves Forrester Creations after telling a stunned Brooke, “Goodbye Mom,” while at the Bikini Bar, RJ’s jealousy over Electra leads to Will punching him in the gut.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap May 26

At Spencer, Hope couldn’t believe she’d taken such a big step, but Liam told her how proud he was of her. Hope left to talk to Brooke about leaving Forrester, although she knew that she couldn’t tell her that she was going to Logan yet.

Bill and Katie came in, and Liam told them that Hope left and why. The three discussed what could be happening, what would happen when Brooke found out, how mad she’d be, and that Katie needed to be prepared for her wrath.

Hope Tells Brooke Goodbye

At Forrester, Brooke told Hope that Steffy and Ridge agreed to restart her line after couture. Hope said that it was just Steffy buying time, noting that there was still no firm date. Despite Brooke’s objections, Hope told her that she was done waiting and wishing.

Hope said that she was going to take a break and leave Forrester Creations. “I’m taking a leave of absence,” Hope repeated as Brooke begged her not to. 

Hope told Brooke that she couldn’t count on Ridge and Steffy to keep their word. She said she wished Brooke had stood up for her, and that this was her standing up for herself when Brooke couldn’t. Hope said “Goodbye Mom,” before heading to the door.

Brooke called after Hope but didn’t run after her as Hope walked out. In the reception area, she paused and took one last look before walking away.

Steffy Joins The Party

At Bikini Bar, Steffy arrived to be with Finn, Deacon, and Taylor. Deacon told Steffy about Sheila’s roommate, and although she hadn’t signed the divorce papers, she was moving on with her life. He hoped that Steffy could see how happy his mom was with him and give them a chance.

Across the bar, RJ fumed as Electra put back on her WE necklace. She and Will snuggled and kissed on the couch. When Will was at the bar, RJ went to Electra to ask her to get away from Will, but she told him she’d made her decision, and Will was her future.

Will Punches RJ

Electra moved away, and Will returned, telling RJ to keep his hands off his girl. Once it was confirmed that Will was Electra’s boyfriend again, RJ accused Will of just hurting her. Will warned RJ to stay out of their relationship. “Or what?” RJ sneered. Will gave him a punch in the gut and walked away as he doubled over.

Dylan watched as RJ fell onto the couch, writhing in pain, and Will left with Electra on his arm and a beer in his hand. Meanwhile, RJ tried to catch his breath as he winced.

Dylan, Finn, and Steffy ran over to see what was wrong, but Dylan told them that he and Will got into it and then Will hit him. Finn assessed that RJ might have bruised a rib. “Because of Will!” Steffy fumed.

Meanwhile, Will and Electra went to the beach house, which was lit with candles. Will explained that he’d called ahead and had someone arrange it for them. Will was thrilled that Electra was ready to reunite. They talked about how much they missed one another and then kissed. “I love you. I’m never going to let go of you again,” Will promised.
