The Bold and the Beautiful Recap May 19: Brooke’s Choice Devastates Hope, Zende Confronts Ridge

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap May 19

At home, Steffy told her mom how she had just told her dad how much it meant to her to be working with her dad as co-CEO when he dropped the bomb that he wanted her to give her position to Brooke.

Steffy felt betrayed by Brooke throwing her under the bus but assumed she’d had a change of heart and realized how ridiculous she was being. Taylor was surprised but even more when Steffy told her that Brooke messaged her a compliment. Taylor wondered if Brooke actually loved Ridge after all.

Liam Waits For News

At Spencer, Liam wasn’t sure what was going on at Forrester but was waiting to hear as Hope’s career was hanging in the balance. He told Bill and Katie that Hope might join them if Brooke didn’t get what she wanted.

Bill didn’t think it would ever happen that Ridge would replace Steffy with Brooke, but Liam wasn’t so sure.

Zende Talks About His Position At Forrester

In the CEO’s office, Zende, RJ, Eric, and Ridge reviewed couture designs. Zende admitted he was bitter about the status of Hope for the Future and said that he could only imagine how Hope felt. Eric agreed they’d been patient.

Ridge got agitated at the conversation, especially when Zende pressed to find out when HFTF would become a priority again. He told them that HFTF would have its time, and he could guarantee it because he promised his wife, so therefore it would happen…one day.

Brooke Tells Hope About Ridge’s Choice

Hope came to Brooke’s house and told her that things weren’t going to turn out exactly the way that she wanted and that Steffy would stay on as Ridge’s co-CEO. Hope was upset and assumed that it was because Ridge and the Forresters always pushed the Logans aside.

Brooke said it wasn’t like that; she’d seen how she was putting Ridge in a position to choose her over his daughter and it wasn’t right. “So you chose Ridge over yourself and over me,” Hope concluded. 

Brooke told Hope that Ridge said he would make things right and give her a place at Forrester. She added that it was her family and her home, but Hope wasn’t so sure and told her mom that Ridge had sold her yet another empty promise.

Hope said she didn’t think she could take working there any longer. Brooke told Hope that she had to, and that they’d be there together. “I needed you, Mom. I needed you, and you let me down,” Hope cried.
