The Bold and the Beautiful Recap June 5: Brooke Slaps Katie, Wyatt Has The Hope Diamond

TL;DR: In today’s Bold and the Beautiful recap, tensions explode between Brooke and Katie after a heated confrontation, leading Brooke to slap Katie across the face. Meanwhile, Wyatt surprises Liam with the Hope Diamond, and Steffy predicts a grim future for the Logan fashion line.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap June 5

Will came home and told Electra how he’d joined Logan and his enthusiasm about it. He told her how he wanted space from his dad in the past, but it had more to do with his parents’ relationship. He explained it was just him and his mom for years, but it was all different now.

Wyatt Reveals He Has the Hope Diamond

At Spencer, Liam gave Wyatt a rundown of Logan and where it was at so he could make a decision on whether or not he’d be joining the company. Wyatt wasn’t sure he wanted to get back under Bill’s thumb after having his freedom for so long.

When Liam talked about the plans for Hope and mentioned the Hope Diamond, Wyatt said that was why he came by. Liam was amazed when Wyatt pulled out a jewelry bag from his pocket and showed his brother that he already had the Hope Diamond.

Steffy Predicts Logan’s Downfall

At Brooke’s, Steffy had questions about Hope’s leave of absence. Hope told her she was content with her decision, and Steffy reiterated her need to put Eric first, after what Katie did to him. She said they needed to teach Katie and Logan a lesson.

Steffy acknowledged that Katie was Hope’s aunt, but insulted her anyway. Steffy said Logan was doomed without Eric but Hope told her she wouldn’t count them out.

“They have no creative leadership, no true sense of design, and personally, I think it’s only a matter of time before Logan becomes a footnote in the fashion industry,” Steffy said confidently.

Brooke Accuses Katie of Destroying the Family

Brooke summoned Katie to Forrester to tell her she was ripping the family apart. She said she abandoned Forrester, poached Eric, and stole her name. She didn’t see what kind of future Logan would have without Eric but wanted to know Katie’s plan. Katie clarified that she canceled an important meeting to come over as requested, only to be told that she was going to fail.

Brooke said that Katie was full of anger and jealousy of Brooke and her accomplishments. Katie admitted that when she was young, she wanted to be Brooke, but when she grew up, she saw all the horrible, despicable things she’d done to her and many other people.

“Ok, well there it is…proof that your anger really does exist,” Brooke shrugged with a condescending smile. She told Katie she was lashing out and was afraid it would go badly for her.

Katie Fires Back Over Eric

Brooke tried scolding Katie again about Eric, but Katie had had enough.

“I’m so tired of hearing how ‘crushed’ he is!” Katie snapped. She reminded Brooke that the collection was overwhelmingly successful and made him look good, so she didn’t believe he was devastated and embarrassed like Brooke kept telling her.

Katie added that she did nothing to damage his reputation, and if Eric felt any kind of way toward her, he could tell her himself.

“If he’s so ‘ashamed’ of working with me then he needs to tell me to my face! He doesn’t need you to be his messenger!” she yelled. “You humiliated him! You disrespected him!” Brooke admonished anyway. She told Katie she didn’t know what was going on with her but to stay away from Forrester as if she’d wandered in on her own.

Katie Accuses Brooke of Failing Hope

“Do whatever you need to do. Go hire another designer, but stay off my turf,” Brooke concluded. She warned Katie not to pull another stunt like she did last time, “stealing Eric” from them and told her to stay out of her business.

Katie didn’t have a problem with that, noting that Brooke should pay attention to the company she had at Forrester, like she was doing with her family at Logan.

“Thank you for acknowledging that Forrester is my family business,” Brooke said triumphantly. She talked about Hope and how she tirelessly fought to get her line into production.

Katie wondered how it was that Brooke thought she’d fought for Hope…ever. She said that everyone knew she always put Ridge first, her ‘destiny,’ and that she condoned Ridge resenting Hope her whole life, even though he was the father figure who raised her.

Brooke Slaps Katie

Katie noted that Ridge has never treated Hope like a daughter, and the reason was because Hope represented one of Brooke’s worst betrayals, the one to her other daughter. She accused Brooke and Ridge of thinking of Hope as her ‘dirty little mistake.’

Brooke slapped her across the face as hard as she could and told her not to call her a bad mom. Katie warned Brooke never to touch her like that again and told her she wasn’t her punching bag. “And I’m going to tell you something, and you better listen good. I am going to do everything in my power to make sure Logan succeeds!” Katie fumed.

“That is great, because I swear, I want you to succeed. I hope you do,” Brooke cried. “Well, that’s all I need, Hope,” Katie told her, “Just a little ‘hope.’ You’re going to see. You’re going to know soon enough,” Katie seethed.
