The Bold and the Beautiful Recap June 16: Zende Questions His Future as Steffy Puts Hope on the Spot

At Forrester, Eric’s designs were tested on the runway in the showroom. Ridge applauded RJ for his long hours and hard work on the line, while Zende grimaced. Carter seemed hesitant to be enthusiastic about the way they’d put all of the company resources into couture. Zende questioned if they were still going to immediately reactivate Hope for the Future as promised, but Carter raised eyebrows when all Ridge did was slightly nod.

Carter pulled Zende into the design office, and Zende admitted that he still felt like he was taking a back seat to RJ, the golden child. Carter advised him to be patient. “Like Hope?” Zende snapped. He wondered if it would get Ridge and Steffy’s attention if he took a leave of absence, too.

Brooke Seeks Reassurance From Steffy

In the CEO’s office, Brooke made Steffy assure her again that HFTF would be next in production once the couture line was out. Steffy assured Brooke that she would keep her word and then suggested that Hope had something to hide from them.

Steffy said Katie wouldn’t tell her anything and that she thought she was up to something. Brooke said she didn’t know what, but reminded Steffy of their truce and that she could only hire Forresters.

Hope Faces Mounting Pressure

At Spencer, Hope startled Bill, Katie, and Liam when she worried about Brooke’s reaction to her joining the company. She told them about her talk with her mom and knew how upset she’d be, especially the longer the lie went on.

Bill suggested they call Brooke over so Hope could tell her and get it off her chest, but she didn’t want to. They asked Hope if she was still committed, and she was, so Bill reiterated the importance of the carefully planned reveal.

Steffy called Hope and told her she wanted to see her in the office immediately. Hope said she’d go but then questioned her decision after she hung up. They debated that Hope would look more suspicious if she didn’t go. After Hope left, Liam worried that it was an ambush.

When Hope arrived at Forrester, Steffy told her that she knew Hope was upset about their relationship and wanted to put some space between them, but she knew what she was doing.
