The Bold and the Beautiful Recap June 1: Will Goes Scorched Earth When Ridge Confirms He’s Fired, Hope Hires Deke

TL;DR: In today’s Bold and the Beautiful recap, Hope confirms with her brother that she is quitting Forrester Creations and successfully recruits Deke to join her at Logan. Meanwhile, at Forrester, RJ is triumphant after Ridge confirms that Will is fired. Will tells off RJ, and the Forresters for their hypocrisy.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap June 1

At Brooke’s house, Hope told Deke that she took a leave of absence from Forrester Creations, but he clarified that she was actually quitting for good. She confirmed but said she had to have it all in place first, including having him on board.

Hope reminded Deke that she was a brand creator, not a designer. She couldn’t convince him to take the leap with her and suggested he come along for her meeting she needed to get to.

Deke Goes To Logan

At Spencer, Liam, Bill, and Katie talked about how they could put a spin on Hope leaving Forrester and coming to Logan, without Brooke’s spin that she was poached being part of the narrative. Bill told Katie he had it under control: the Hope Diamond was still the plan, and he counted on Wyatt to get it.

Hope and Deke arrived, and they all asked him to join Logan. Katie reminded Deke that she was going to hire him just before Eric stepped in, and Bill pointed out that it was a dream offer. Deke agreed and happily accepted the offer.

RJ Doubles Down

In the CEO office at Forrester, Will told RJ that he couldn’t fire him, but no one else agreed or disagreed. RJ repeated his threat that Will was gone, sprinkled with insults. Eventually, Ridge told Will he had no choice and his time at Forrester was over.

Steffy said that Will created an unsafe work environment, so Will pushed back that it happened at a bar. Carter interjected that it wasn’t that long ago that he had to break up RJ and Will in that very office. Will was glad he brought it up and noted that it was RJ who started that, so why was only Will being punished?

RJ smugly told Will that he was a lowlife just like his father and that his kind wasn’t needed or wanted. He told him to go work with his parents, where he belonged. Will told RJ that he’d congratulate him if he didn’t think so little of him.

Will Gets In A Word…Or Two

No one interrupted but glared as Will went off on RJ, telling him he was nothing more than a mama’s boy who couldn’t stand on his own two feet, and he’d been harassing him since he got there so he could try to steal his girlfriend, but it wouldn’t work because of who he was. Will told RJ that Electra would never respect him because he wasn’t a man. “Put some ice and quit crying,” he snapped before telling the rest of them he was done with them, too.

Will said he worked there to distance himself from his father, and that he thought he had a mentor in Ridge and a family in the rest of them, but clearly they only saw him the way RJ did: as some filthy Spencer. No one argued with him as he said that he’d remove himself from their higher ground.

After he left, Carter noted that RJ shouldn’t have been calling Will a lowlife for months but got barely a reaction over it. Ridge told Brooke that was hard but he had to stand behind RJ.

Word Travels Fast

Meanwhile, across the hall, Dylan told Electra the details about Will and RJ’s fight and how it was about her. Electra said she didn’t want that but couldn’t help but smile at the thought, too. Later, in the showroom, RJ smugly told Dylan that he had gotten Will fired for suckerpunching him at the bar.

Will went to the design office and told Electra that he’d been fired. She comforted him and was sad they wouldn’t be able to work together. He asked her to promise that no one would come between them.
