The Bold and the Beautiful Recap July 9: Sheila Signs the Divorce Papers as Ridge Declares War on Bill

At Brooke’s house, Eric fussed over RJ’s injuries while Ridge fumed over what had happened. Convinced that Will had crossed the line once again, Ridge insisted the Spencer family wouldn’t get away with it this time.

The conversation also turned to Eric and Donna’s marriage. Eric admitted that Donna’s decision to keep secrets from him had created tension between them, and the family agreed to give RJ some space to recover.

Ridge, however, wasn’t interested in waiting. As he stormed out, he made it clear he intended to put an end to what he called the Spencer family’s madness.

Sheila Signs the Divorce Papers

Deacon gently encouraged Sheila to let go of the past. He acknowledged that ending their marriage would always be painful but reminded her that they had also shared many happy memories together. He apologized for falling in love with Taylor, something he never expected would happen.

Fighting back tears, Sheila admitted signing the papers was the hardest thing she had ever done. She assumed Deacon planned to marry Taylor and questioned what kind of future she would have without the man she still loved.

Despite her heartbreak, Sheila ultimately signed the divorce papers. She told Deacon she didn’t want to stay with someone who no longer loved her and reflected on how looking through old photographs had reminded her of everything they had shared.

Before leaving, Sheila thanked Deacon for helping her become someone capable of giving and receiving love. Deacon assured her that someone else would eventually come into her life, and the former couple shared one final emotional embrace before Sheila walked away.

Steffy Refuses to Ever Accept Sheila

At Forrester Creations, Taylor explained Sheila’s condition for signing the divorce papers: she wanted to be accepted as part of Finn’s family. Steffy immediately rejected the idea.

Steffy made it clear that Sheila would never be welcomed into their lives under any circumstances. Finn quietly suggested that perhaps Sheila would eventually accept reality before leaving the room.

After Finn departed, Steffy questioned whether Taylor would continue her relationship with Deacon if Sheila refused to cooperate. Moments later, Taylor received a call from Deacon confirming that Sheila had signed the papers after all, leaving both Taylor and Steffy surprised by the news.

Bill and Wyatt Celebrate Their Success

Bill and Wyatt had a good laugh over Will punching RJ for a second time. Bill joked that the “mini soft dressmaker” must have deserved it and proudly declared that Will had probably “pummeled some sense” into RJ. 

Confident that Logan was gaining momentum, Bill boasted that it was only a matter of time before they surpassed Forrester. Wyatt cautioned his father against becoming overconfident, but Bill embraced the rivalry, declaring himself ready for the battle ahead.

Later, Bill was interrupted when Ridge barged into the office. Bill greeted him with sarcasm, but Ridge wasted no time accusing both Bill and Will of crossing the line. Ridge told Bill that he, “his wife, and his son started a war.” Ridge asked if that’s what Bill really wanted, because that was what he got.

Finn Is Shocked by Sheila’s Decision

After leaving Deacon, Sheila went straight to Finn’s office. Finn reminded his biological mother that Steffy would never allow her into their family, but Sheila explained that she had already made an enormous sacrifice. She revealed that she had signed the divorce papers and given Taylor and Deacon exactly what they wanted.

Finn was stunned. Sheila pleaded with him to understand that she was heartbroken and alone, and that she needed her family now more than ever.
