The Bold and the Beautiful Recap July 17: Eric Ends Will and Electra’s Romance, Finn Defends Sheila to Steffy

TL;DR: In today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, July 17, 2026, Finn asks Steffy to reconsider Sheila, Eric forces Electra to choose her family over Will, and Will’s heartbreaking voicemail leaves Electra devastated.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap July 17

Sheila sat at home alone and looked at a photo of the Finnegans on her phone. “I just wanted to be a part of my family,” she bemoaned. She called Finn to ask if he’d talked to Steffy yet but he said that she When Steffy did come home, she told Finn about Daphne and Carter’s news about infertility and how she was with her friend when Li told her.

After discussing Daphne and Carter’s options, Finn told Steffy that Sheila came to see him. He wondered if they should give her a chance to show that she’d changed.

Steffy balked that Sheila was just trying to get to their children. She said he had to understand it was just a ploy to get to them and they couldn’t let Sheila around their family.

Finn said that Sheila swore she’d changed and he’d seen it. He didn’t think she’d been loved before Deacon, and being with him changed her. Now that Deacon was gone, she wanted to move on to her next chapter.

Finn said that Sheila wanted him and Hayes to be in her life. Steffy told him they couldn’t let her in, not even a crack.

Eric Orders Will to Leave Electra Alone

At the Forrester mansion, Eric told Will that Electra wanted nothing to do with him anymore and to leave. Will said that Electra was an adult and that they were having a conversation before he came in that he’d like to finish, but he understood that they should do it elsewhere.

Will wanted to tried to let Electra speak for herself but Eric stared at her intently and she couldn’t talk. She told Will it would be better if he left.

Will was devastated when Electra wouldn’t back up what he was saying. She turned to Eric and he hugged her as Will gave up and left.

Once alone, Electra told Eric that she loved Will and thought he was the one. Eric told her that she was wrong, and she needed to be one of them for the company’s sake now.

Electra promised Eric that she wanted to be there for her Forrester family. Eric reminded her there was no room for Will Spencer and told her not to forget it. Eric added that Electra had to get Will out of her mind for the rest of her life. “Yes, sir,” Electra said obediently.

Will Drowns His Sorrows With Dylan

Will went to Bikini Bar to drown his sorrows. While Dylan and Jessica were talking about Dylan’s chances with him, Shelly was making her moves.

Will downed beers to numb his pain while Shelly chatted him up but told her he didn’t want to hang out with her at all. Dylan offered to listen to him instead and took Shelly’s seat.

Will told Dylan how Eric made Electra kick him out. “I can’t go anywhere near her becaue I’m a Spencer and she’s a Forrester,” he said. He wondered if he was in Romeo and Juliet or something. He thought the whole thing was stupid and that it sucked not being able to see her. Dylan couldn’t believe Electra didn’t stand up for him or their relationship.

Will stayed drinking until the bar shut down. Dylan offered to drive him but he told her he’d leave his bike there and walk home.

Electra Misses Will’s Heartbreaking Call

Meanwhile, Electra had just stepped outside when Will tried calling her. She let it go to her voicemail but listened as he left the message telling her that he was at the beach, looking at the moon, and thinking about her.

Will said that he loved Electra and he would forever but maybe her family was right and they couldn’t be together. He added that he felt bad saying that since it all felt so right when they were together. Electra tried to interrupt the message but she didn’t hit the button in time and the call disconnected. 

“Will? Will?” she called into the phone. Disappointed that she’d missed her chance to talk to Will, she sighed, looked distressed, and stared up at the moon.
