The Bold and the Beautiful Recap August 28: Steffy Breaks Down as Finn Pushes for a Fresh Start

TL;DR: In today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, August 28th, 2026, Steffy struggles with guilt over what happened with Carter, as Finn vows to leave Sheila behind and start fresh with his wife. Meanwhile, Carter fears Steffy won’t be able to keep his secret.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap August 28

At Forrester, Taylor came to see Steffy, but she wasn’t at work. Ridge noted that she hadn’t been around much since he came back. Taylor told Ridge how upset and out of sorts Steffy had been since the trip. Taylor relived everything that happened, from Sheila being in Monaco to Finn knowing.

Taylor said that for Sheila to know his itinerary and follow him was stalking. Ridge barked that nobody wanted Sheila there. Taylor noted that the message to Sheila hadn’t always been clear, and Ridge agreed that Finn was the issue.

Daphne Worries For Steffy

In the design room, Daphne told Carter about rumors of Steffy and Finn having problems, and noted that he wasn’t surprised. Carter admitted he already knew from Steffy. Daphne said that Steffy acted surprised to see her when she walked into the office earlier. Carter admitted that he’d told Steffy that Daphne had left him.

Daphne and Carter both hoped that Steffy and Finn could work through their problems. Daphne said she modeled marriage after Steffy and Finn’s, but Carter said they should do their own thing. She agreed and gushed about integrity, honesty, and other qualities Carter had. She hoped one day they’d have a child and raise them to have those same attributes.

Daphne wanted to check in on Steffy, but Carter suggested she give her some time. Once alone, Carter relived everything from the last two weeks in flashbacks, and tormented himself with guilt as he hit the chair and knocked it over. He talked to himself about how everything hinged on Steffy not telling Finn but wasn’t sure she could keep it in.

Steffy Breaks Down 

At the Finnegan house, an emotional Steffy relived Monaco everything that happened over the last couple of weeks through flashbacks. She listened as Finn apologized repeatedly and told her how awful he felt about her flying home alone and how horrible she must have felt.

Finn thanked Steffy for sticking by him and said he’d never been more grateful for his loyal wife. He said he knew she’d never do anything to put their relationship in jeopardy. Ridge called, so Finn told her to put him on speaker so they could talk to him together.

Ridge and Taylor were also on speaker and questioned Finn if he really understood the gravity of the situation. He swore he was done with Sheila and nothing would ever come between them. Steffy said she didn’t know how to answer when Taylor asked how she was doing.

Finn Wants A Fresh Start

After the call, Taylor told Ridge she thought Steffy sounded like she was really struggling. Meanwhile, Steffy broke down crying with Finn. As he kept telling her how she was the best wife ever, she sobbed that she wasn’t.

Steffy said she’d never take her ring off again and recalled how connected they felt at the church. “How did I lose sight of us?” she cried. She said she didn’t know what came over her and that she couldn’t take it back. “I’m the one who broke your trust,” Finn insisted. 

Finn said he deserved everything she did to him but Steffy said he was wrong. “I messed up. I almost cost us our marriage,” Finn told her. He said that day, they would start fresh. They would be open and honest with one another. Steffy cried that she loved Finn as she ran into his arms but Carter’s words haunted her about never telling Finn.
