The Bold and the Beautiful Recap August 18: Carter and Steffy Made A Major Mistake, Finn and Daphne Apologize

TL;DR: In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, August 18th, 2026, Carter and Steffy are in shock when they wake up naked together on the CEO office couch, as Daphne and Finn return to make amends with their spouses.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap August 18

On a plane, all Finn could think about was Steffy, what happened when she saw Sheila in Monaco, and how sorry he was.

The Morning After

At Forrester, the cleaning crew knocked on the CEO’s office door and wondered why the door was locked for once. Inside, a naked Steffy and Carter slept through the noise on the couch.

When Steffy awoke, she realized where she was, who she was with, and what they did. She woke Carter, panicking that they shouldn’t have done this.

Carter noted that his head was pounding as they tried to find their phones. Steffy realized that Finn was coming home and said she didn’t know how to face him. She told Carter it was both of their faults but didn’t know how they let it happen.

As they scrambled to get dressed, Carter wanted to talk about it but Steffy said it was a mistake and she needed to get home. Steffy didn’t want to talk about it, and ran out the door, leaving Carter half-dressed and worried.

Daphne’s Change Of Heart 

Carter was hurriedly cleaning the office and the evidence when Daphne walked in. She said that she got to the airport gates and thought about everything she was leaving behind. Daphne told Carter that she couldn’t leave him.

Daphne apologized for how she’d handled things. She apologized for running away and promised to never do it again. Telling Carter how much she loved him, she said that she was sorry and asked him to forgive her for making such a big mistake.

Deacon and Taylor Discuss Marriage

At the Finnegan house, Deacon praised Taylor for getting the kids up and out the door to the day camp bus without chaos. Taylor segued from talking about the kids spending the day on Catalina to reminding Deacon why she rejected his proposal.

Taylor said at their age, she didn’t think they needed marriage. Deacon countered that at their age, they had a better chance at success. Regardless, Deacon was just happy that they were together. Deacon had to go to work, but said that they would meet for dinner later.

Taylor was working from home when Steffy rushed in. She told her mom that her plans had changed and she needed to take a shower. Taylor asked if everything was alright, but Steffy rushed off without explaining anything. 

Finn Apologizes to Steffy

When Steffy returned, she told her mom she met Finn at the church in Monaco and that, right after, they ran into Sheila. Steffy said that Finn knew, and Sheila was happy to be on vacation with her son. She kept saying how distraught she was that Finn kept the secret that Sheila was in her special place. 

Taylor noticed that her wedding ring was off, and she admitted she’d thrown it at Finn and booked it out of there. Just then, Finn walked in the door, relieved to finally find her. Taylor left to give them some privacy.

Finn recounted what happened and how he could have done better. He told Steffy that he screwed up and made a terrible mistake. He asked her to tell him that she could forgive him.
