The Bold and the Beautiful Recap August 12: Steffy Finds Sheila on the Beach, Taylor Rejects Deacon

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap August 12

At the chapel in Monaco, Steffy and Finn professed their love for one another as the church bells began to ring. Behind them, Sheila watched as they kissed and embraced.

Steffy was really concerned about Forrester and had plenty of meetings lined up, but she wanted to have dinner with Finn. He reminded her that they had their own suite and no kids. They were both making the most of their time together.

Meanwhile, Sheila’s driver came to see if she was ready to go, but just then, she got a notification that her flight had been delayed. She asked him to take her somewhere like a coastline cafe to enjoy, as he had the extra time. Her driver said he knew the perfect place and it wasn’t too far away.

Sheila settled into a chaise lounge on the beach, and a waiter came to take her lunch order. She dipped her 8-toed feet in the Mediterranean and flirted with the French server, then sipped her drink on her lounge chair.

Steffy and Finn took a stroll on the beach, unaware that Sheila was basking in the sun behind them. Steffy was approached by a fan who wanted to take photos with her, and while she was distracted, Finn spotted Sheila. 

Meanwhile, Sheila noticed the commotion with the fan and realized it was Steffy and Finn, so she quickly covered herself with a towel, but her feet were sticking out. A moment later, Finn asked Steffy to the hotel but she took a step forward and spotted Sheila’s missing toes. She stomped over and ripped the towel off of her. “Oh my god, you’re here!” she gasped.

Brooke and Ridge are Shocked

In the hotel room, Brooke and Ridge talked about what Steffy and Finn were probably doing at the chapel, what the day meant, and how romantic it was for them to recreate it on the anniversary. Ridge said that Finn wasn’t the only one who could be romantic.

Simone came to the room in place of her father, whom the Forresters had done business with for a long time and who was supposed to meet with them. She explained that Louis wasn’t coming because their relationship was terminated and he now answered to the board. After decades of working together, he couldn’t bear to face them in person.

Ridge asked if there was anything he could do to rectify the situation, but Simone said it wasn’t up to him and the board wouldn’t change their mind because of Logan.

Taylor Responds To Deacon’s Proposal

Deacon waited on bended knee, holding up a ring as Taylor asked if he was being serious. He told her that he’d made his feelings clear and asked her to feel the same way. As he tried to put the ring on her finger, she pulled her hand away.

Taylor told Deacon that she loved their relationship the way it was and didn’t think they needed to get married. She thought they didn’t need to screw anything up with marriage, and worried that given her past history, that’s what would happen. 

Distraught, Deacon noted that he’d ended his marriage to Sheila for them and wondered if he’d made a mistake. Deacon placed the ring on the coffee table. Taylor explained that she didn’t want to be dating a married man and to keep Sheila out of their lives.

Taylor told Deacon that she thought it was so sweet the way he got on one knee and bought her a ring, but she valued their relationship the way it was and how he loved her fully and completely. “That’s all i need. I’d say yes if we were 20 years younger and there were no complications with Steffy and Sheila,” she said. 

Deacon said he was caught off guard and didn’t really understand. Things didn’t go as he planned, but he said the main thing was that they would still be together.
