The Bold and the Beautiful: Who Katie Logan Needs to Make Logan a Success
On The Bold and the Beautiful, Katie Logan’s first fashion show and the official launch of her fashion house, Logan, couldn’t have been a bigger success. But now comes the real test: was she a one-hit wonder, or is she in it to win it long-term?
The Bold and the Beautiful: Katie’s Logan’s Real Test

Katie Logan (Heather Tom) just debuted her first fashion show, and her entire supply sold out the same day. While that couldn’t be a bigger success, you’re only as good as your last line. And in this case, it just might have been.
The problem is, Katie’s premiere fashion line was designed by Eric Forrester (John McCook), who has since returned to his legacy at Forrester Creations. Eric may have regrets about jumping ship, even temporarily, but the deal was always that he would only help with her first line to get the company up and running.
What Katie does next is going to make or break her dream. Either she can produce a second line that is just as successful, or she’ll become what her sister Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) has predicted: a one-hit wonder doomed to fail.
The Dream Team

As Katie has said, she’s not a designer — but she does know business. She has experience in marketing, was head of Forrester’s public relations, and also served as human resources director. She was even the company’s CEO for a while.
Running a business, building a team, and inspiring people to help make a dream happen are Katie’s fortes. What she needs are fashion designers who share her passion for Logan.
One of the issues Katie had at Forrester was that she simply wasn’t one of them. She’s a Logan (yes, the name is hers, too), but unlike her sisters Brooke and Donna (Jennifer Gareis), she isn’t married to a Forrester.
Katie, though, is married to a Spencer—and that’s not really a selling point to the Forresters. While her relationship status didn’t have much to do with why she left Forrester, it could play a factor in future moves that others make.
Case in point: Katie’s niece, Hope Logan.
Time For Hope to Change Her Future

Hope’s line at Forrester Creations, Hope for the Future, has a long history of taking one step forward and two steps back. And when the line is stalled or canceled, it’s usually due to a surprise decision by Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
This week, HFTF was moved to the back burner yet again. And while Steffy claimed it was just a business decision, it came with some implied blame and pointed comments about Katie’s decisions at Logan — and Steffy’s disdain for the Spencers.
Hope later told her mom that she didn’t know how much more she could take and that she was starting to understand how her aunt Katie felt when she left Forrester Creations to start her own company.
Hope Isn’t a Designer, Either…But Her Brother Is

Having Hope join Logan would definitely make Spencer feel more like a family company, similar to the environment at Forrester. Hope is Katie’s niece, a Logan, but also a Spencer through her marriage to Liam (Scott Clifton).
But Hope isn’t a designer. She had wanted her brother Deke (Harrison Cone) to be the designer for Hope for the Future and even hired him. However, Steffy promptly made Hope fire Deke before he could even get one design into production.
Katie has already done a preliminary interview with Deke, and it would be Hope’s dream to work with him. That isn’t something she’d get at Forrester, but Katie would likely be open to it.
But is newly graduated Deke ready to be a lead designer — and follow up after Eric Forrester himself? Maybe… he just hasn’t been given the chance yet to show what he can do.
Katie’s Hiring Might Need Security Checks

Just how threatened are the Forresters? They wouldn’t send one of their own as a plant to sabotage Logan… would they?
Katie might want to keep her scrutiny on high alert when sifting through resumes. Considering how convinced some are that Katie and Bill (Don Diamont) have somehow completely wronged the Forresters, it wouldn’t be shocking if someone like Thomas, Zende, or RJ showed up at Logan with questionable intentions.
Maybe it’s just reminiscent of the Sally Spectra days, with two fashion houses going head-to-head. But there were some serious (and hilarious) hijinks back then — and it wouldn’t hurt to have a little frenemy competition again.
Dylan might be another person looking for a new job if she keeps getting forced out of Forrester by RJ (Brayan Nicoletti) and Electra (Laneya Grace). Of course, if Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) jumped ship like his parents would like him to, Dylan would be more likely to follow.
We might not have to wait too long to find out who Katie intends to fill the seats needed at Logan for her next line. It will likely be a topic of conversation at Katie’s celebratory dinner.
Who would you like to see go to Logan?
