Beyond the Gates: Why Cady McClain’s Pamela Curtis Is the Ride-or-Die BFF Dani Dupree Deserves
Although some relationships on Beyond the Gates have failed the loyalty tests, there’s one friendship that is a true ride-or-die.
Pamela Curtis on Beyond the Gates

On Beyond the Gates, the world of Fairmont Crest isn’t all that private. Everyone knows what’s going on between everyone else, and if they don’t, they’ll see it in dramatic flair at a wedding, a country club, or by being left off the elite guest list.
But amongst the cheating, whispers, and gossip, there is one bond you can always count on: the unshakeable friendship of Pamela Curtis (Cady McClain) and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley).
Every soap diva needs a sidekick, but Pamela is so much more than that. When Cady McClain made her grand debut on February 28, 2025, just days after the series premiere, she didn’t just walk through the gates; she arrived on a mission.
Dani was facing the nightmare of watching her ex-husband, Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett), marry his younger sidepiece, Hayley (Marquita Goings).
Enter Pamela, the ultimate bestie, sweeping back into town specifically to hold Dani’s hand during the nuptials. Granted, she let go long enough for Dani to pull out a gun at the ceremony, but did Pamela take a pause on their friendship? Of course not.

While Dani is the free-spirited, headstrong daughter of the Dupree clan, Pamela is the grounding force who matches her energy but keeps it real.
Whether they are getting into good trouble (even the kind they’re never supposed to mention again — what did happen on that European trip, anyway?!) or navigating the murky, judgmental waters of Fairmont Crest society, their chemistry is electric.
On today’s episode, Pam showed up for Dani. And we mean, she showed up. With her BFF testing positive for the BRCA gene, and her mother Anita (Tamara Tunie) battling breast cancer, Pamela didn’t need an explanation of how Dani was feeling.
She brought her sarcastic wit, her encouraging reminders that Dani’s a fighter, and that she is Dani’s ride or die. Period.
It is rare to see female friendship portrayed with such genuine warmth and fun on daytime TV, especially without immediate betrayal lurking around the corner.
Cady McClain and Karla Mosley are magic together, proving that sometimes the best love story on a soap isn’t a romance — it’s a friendship.
