Beyond the Gates Weekly Recap June 1-5, 2026: Haley and Randy’s Origin Story, Fundraiser and Impaler Plans Made

In the Beyond the Gates recap for the week of June 1st to 5th, 2026, the Duprees faced growing threats from both the past and present. While Martin’s family worried about secrets resurfacing, Hayley’s plan against Bill moved forward, Jacob struggled with lingering trauma, and Joey planned to come face-to-face with the mysterious Impaler.

Beyond the Gates Recap for the Week of June 1-5

Vanessa encouraged Nicole to tell Ted that she had been fantasizing about him, but Nicole stopped short of making the admission out of respect for Shanice.

Meanwhile, Shanice remained upset that Ted had sent both Monica and Nicole to speak on his behalf rather than approaching her directly. After Ted gave Shanice space to talk about her struggles accepting Derek’s death, the two agreed to resume their relationship.

Shanice also shared memories of Derek with Eva, strengthening their bond.

Monica Makes a Major Career Decision

Monica wrestled with whether to leave her practice in Texas and accept the position of chief of staff at Garland Memorial.

After conversations with both Shanice and Vernon, Monica decided to commit to the job for one year.

Family, Friendship, and New Beginnings

Andre and Chelsea connected during a discussion about Derek and Dani.

Chelsea and Kat celebrated Samantha’s first anniversary with their company by asking her to name their newest purse design. They also reassured the adopted teen that she was every bit as much a Dupree as they were.

Tyrell hoped to convince Jessica not to leave for college in Los Angeles after the two made love again.

Kat’s Podcast Idea Raises Concerns

Kat expressed interest in launching a true-crime podcast focused on the disappearance of Lynette.

Smitty quickly reminded her about the real-world consequences, legal considerations, and responsibilities involved in investigating active cases.

Leslie and Darlene Create Chaos

Leslie grew frustrated that Eva’s busy schedule left little time for her.

Elsewhere, Darlene attempted to be civil toward Eva because of Izaiah’s wishes. However, tensions exploded when Leslie and Darlene nearly came to blows, much to Marcel’s amusement.

Victor Newman Secured for Fundraiser

Martin’s upcoming fundraiser received a boost when Genoa City power player Victor Newman agreed to travel to Washington, D.C., to deliver the keynote address.

Behind the scenes, however, Martin, Anita, and Vernon remained worried that political opponents could uncover the truth about Martin killing someone during an attempted hate crime and the family’s subsequent cover-up.

Vernon was especially uneasy about Joey’s increasingly unpredictable actions.

Bill, Dani, and Hayley’s Story Comes Full Circle

Dani, Bill, and Hayley reflected on the events that led to their fractured relationships.

Hayley originally arrived at the DMV planning to target Joey, but Randy steered her toward Bill instead. Through Naomi, Hayley was introduced to both Bill and Dani before eventually replacing an outgoing receptionist at Bill’s law firm.

After working together, Bill and Hayley began an affair that devastated Dani. Dani later approached Bill on the day of his wedding to Hayley and unsuccessfully pleaded for reconciliation.

In the present, Hayley continued secretly poisoning Bill and informed Randy that her plan was finally beginning to work.

Jacob Struggles After Derek’s Death

While in bed with Naomi, Jacob experienced disturbing memories of gunshots, leaving Naomi worried that he might return to undercover work in pursuit of the fugitive Impaler.

The police department honored Jacob with a commendation for dismantling the blood plasma ring, but he showed little interest in the recognition and shoved the plaque into a desk drawer before leaving.

Naomi later suggested that both Jacob and Ashley were dealing with survivor’s guilt connected to Derek’s death.

Ashley Refuses to Move Forward

Ashley remained unwilling to forgive Grayson.

Naomi believed Ashley was punishing herself for not giving Derek another chance after learning he had lied about his paralysis.

At the same time, Smitty’s reporting on the blood plasma ring expanded into a five-part series. Jacob encouraged him to use future installments to help draw out the Impaler.

Joey Arranges to Meet the Impaler

Questions continued to surround Joey’s possible connections to the elusive crime figure.

Both Izaiah and Vanessa demanded answers about his involvement, while Joey secretly arranged a meeting with the mysterious individual.

The week ended with a shocking cliffhanger when Joey came face-to-face with the Impaler for the first time. Having never known the killer’s identity, Joey stared at the figure and exclaimed, “You!”
