Beyond the Gates Recap September 30: Nicole Blames Joey for Vanessa’s Carjacking as Bill Reveals Hayley’s Secret to Dani

TL;DR: In today’s Beyond the Gates recap for Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, Vanessa survives a carjacking after a series of suspicious disruptions, Nicole blames Joey for failing to protect her, Bill tells Dani that Hayley is blackmailing him, and Chelsea vows to press charges.

Beyond the Gates Recap September 30

At the casino, Joey was told about Vanessa. Marco told Joey that while he was watching Vanessa, someone started screaming about a fire, so he called 911. While that happened, Vanessa returned to her car from the showing and had been carjacked. He didn’t know where she was now, so Joey told him to get everyone out looking for her.

Vanessa Is Taken To The Hospital

At the hospital, Ashley brought Vanessa to the third floor to wait for her CT scan results because the ER was swamped. Nicole was relieved she wasn’t too hurt and waited with her for the results.

While they sat, Nicole blasted her about Joey not protecting her. Vanessa said Joey’s employee was her protection, but she didn’t want him in sight while she showed a condo. When she returned to her car, someone grabbed her from behind and forced her to the ground.

Andre walked up and said that was when he found Vanessa, as the carjacker was driving away. He mentioned the smoke in the alley and the sirens coming. “Like a series of disruptions?” Nicole asked. 

After Ashley told her the CT scan was clear, Vanessa told Nicole not to criticize Joey, as it wasn’t his fault. Nicole was convinced that one of his enemies was using her to send a message. She told Vanessa she was too trusting, should have called the police, and thought Joey would just buy her a new car to make it all better.

Nicole Blames Joey

Vanessa ignored her and asked to use her phone. Nicole said she wanted her in her life for a long time, and if anything happened to her, Joy would need protection from her. She walked away so Vanessa could call Joey. “Say you’re okay,” Joey told her when he heard Vanessa’s voice. She told him she was at Garland. 

Joey went straight over, but had to answer to Nicole. She said that someone created a diversion to target Vanessa. “When are you going to admit that you can’t keep Vanessa safe?” Nicole snapped. Joey said he would deal with the person responsible and keep her safe moving forward.

Joey took Vanessa home and comforted her on the couch. She asked if he knew who did it to her; Joey admitted he suspected. He told her he never wanted her to be hurt because of him or the people he associated with. Vanessa said the pain would be a hundred times worse without him in her life. Later, he told Marco to find Heather and bring her to him.

Bill Confides In Dani

In Bill’s hospital room, Chelsea wanted to convince her dad to send Hayley to prison. She pointed out that the State decided, but she realized Bill was going to call in a favor. Dani got Chelsea to leave but told Bill she’d be coming back to find out what was really going on. 

In the hallway, Dani ran into Andre. He told her about Vanessa, but she said she’d check in on her later as she had to finish a conversation with Bill. Andre seemed unimpressed. Later, he talked to Ted about it; Andre claimed he was fine with Dani’s concerns about Bill, but Ted advised him to talk to his wife as his temperature seemed to be rising.

When Dani returned, Bill told her Hayley had recordings, and she realized it was about the Martin situation. He warned Dani couldn’t get in Hayley’s face about anything, and he was going to give her everything she wanted to protect everyone involved.

Leslie Enjoys Her New Bestie

In Hayley’s hotel room, she tried asking Leslie to leave, claiming she was exhausted from her day. Leslie had no desire to go, and made herself comfortable so she could tell her new best friend all about her relationship with Marcel.

Leslie told Hayley about Lionel Belleclaire’s offer to go for dinner. She said she flirted for sport and didn’t mind going in on a tease to get Hayley a guest pass back into the club. Leslie said Lionel was Hayley’s type. Hayley really wanted Leslie to go, but she ordered food for them instead. Hayley screamed into her pillow in frustration.

Chelsea Wants to Press Charges

At the station, Jacob tried talking to Naomi about her feelings about the Hayley situation, but she said she was trying to handle it like she would a court case. Jacob pointed out that they found the vial on Hayley that matched the poison in Bill’s system, so it was a slam dunk. Naomi agreed and felt better.

Chelsea went to the station and told Jacob and Naomi about Bill wanting to drop the charges. She wanted them pressed anyway, and she showed them the mark on her face. Chelsea said she wanted to press assault charges as well. 

After hearing the story, Naomi said that Chelsea assaulted Hayley first, and could face jail time if she went after Hayley. She told her sister not to worry though as ther were plenty of other ways they could get revenge on their step-mom.
