Beyond the Gates Recap July 31: Kat Discovers Randy, Deanna Lets Down Her Guard, Dani Explodes On Bill
TL;DR: In today’s Beyond the Gates recap for Friday, July 31, 2026, Dani confronts Bill after Chelsea and Naomi are kicked out, Hayley finalizes her murder plot, and Kat begins connecting Randy to the growing mystery.
Beyond the Gates Recap July 31
At the club, Dani was furious about her daughters being kicked out of Bill’s house and wanted to go over there and tell him off. Chelsea, Naomi, and Kat asked her not to, citing that his health didn’t need the extra stress. Dani went anyway.
Naomi, Kat, and Chelsea went back to Naomi’s and talked about Hayley. Chelsea told them what Randy looked like, and they wondered why he went by two names. Kat kept notes, and Naomi reminded them they had to keep things stress-free for Bill’s sake. Kat left for a meeting and told them to think about it and see if they remembered anything more.
Deanna Explodes at Joey
At the casino, Joey told Vanessa that Heather was the same person he grew up with and was suddenly interested in his business. He said that she wanted to dominate their father’s business, and he shut her down, so she struck out on her own. “And now she’s setting her sights on my operation,” Joey mused.
Vanessa said Heather would have to get used to disappointment then because she was never getting her hands on it. Joey agreed, then suggested they fool around instead. As they began making out, Deanna wandered in.
Deanna tried to play it cool and made conversation with Joey about his business. He said he had some high rollers in and made a lot of money, and suggested that they celebrate. Deanna asked if he felt bad for people losing everything in his casino. “Unfortunately, guilt isn’t good for business,” Joey told her.
“Which is something only a cold-hearted bastard like you would say,” Deanna seethed. Vanessa told her to apologize immediately. Deanna tearfully told her mother, “I don’t think this place is good for me; maybe next time we can meet somewhere else.” She apologized to Joey for her outburst and left to go to work.
Bill and Hayley Clash
At the Hamilton house, Hayley apologized for blowing up but said that it wasn’t okay with Chelsea and Naomi barging in and barking orders like they owned the place. Bill didn’t disagree but disliked that she kicked them out and put them in a position of having to choose between his daughters and his wife.
Hayley appreciated that he backed her up, but he said he only did it to avoid embarrassing her and to keep matters from getting worse. Bill thought Hayley was in the wrong because she overreacted. He said it couldn’t happen again, but Hayley didn’t know how to handle their constant disrespect. She didn’t want to put up with it in her own home.
Bill told her he wouldn’t allow her to ban his children from the house. Hayley said she wasn’t asking for that, but suggested they call first so she had an opportunity to remove herself. Bill noted this rational version of Hayley would’ve been beneficial earlier. He scolded her again for what she already apologized for, so Hayley stormed out.
Hayley Advances Her Murder Plot
At Uptown, Hayley met with Randy and told him how Madison wanted him to come to the hospital and his daughters tried to convince him to as well. Randy gave his two cents on it, and then gave Hayley another bottle of poison. She said that she finally figured out the dosage and that his health ring is showing his blood pressure spiking and other numbers going down while he was sleeping.
Hayley said that Bill’s ego was going to be the last nails in his coffin. She said that she’d been working on something, adding, “If things go my way, those nosy country club nobodies won’t be around to question how my husband finally met his maker,” Hayley said wickedly.
Hayley told Randy that she convinced Bill to go to St. Bart’s and only one of them would return. She gave him an example of her acting job of the weeping widow and no one would think anything was suspect. Randy said he knew someone there that could take care of the autopsy and speedy cremation.
Randy told her it all sounded good, but he wasn’t celebrating until he saw the money in his bank account. He advised her to make things right with everyone so her performance was polished. “Think of the optics,” he said before leaving for some ‘real food.’
Dani Confronts Bill
Once alone, Bill checked his hand to see if he had tremors as Dani began pounding on the door, demanding to be let in. Bill unlocked the door with the app on his phone. Dani stormed in, yelling for Hayley, and asked Bill where his worse half was. As she tossed her purse into a chair, her sunglasses bounced out onto the floor.
Dani ripped into Bill for allowing Hayley to kick out their daughters and told him he was never allowed to let that happen again. Bill tried to speak, but Dani threatened that if Hayley didn’t understand that rule, she would have to deal with her.
Bill told Dani that he’d already spoken to Hayley and it wouldn’t happen again, but Dani said that wasn’t enough. He refused to defend himself to Dani, and said from now on the girls should call first so they didn’t need to clash again. Dani complained about that too, so he asked if there was anything else she’d like to micromanage.
Dani told him he should be at the hospital, almost said he would still be there if they were still together but caught herself. She said she wouldn’t have been at the spa during any of it. “But this is about our children,” she pivoted. She went back to warning him to warn Hayley to watch her step.
Bill told Dani that he would call the girls, and hated that they were so upset they got Dani involved. Before leaving, Dani asked how Bill was doing. He promised her that he would be fine, and she reminded him what she said at the hospital, that there would be no dying on her watch.
Hayley Finds Out Dani Was In Her House
After Dani left, Bill called Naomi and asked where she was. He told her to stay put and said he was on his way. The house was empty when Hayley came in and called out for him but she found Dani’s sunglasses on the floor instead — which she used to angrily clear the coffee table with.
Meanwhile, Dani went to the club to find her missing sunglasses, unsure where she’d left them. She ran into Vanessa and told her about the girls being kicked out of Bill’s house. Dani laughed when she got a text from Hayley. With a photo of her glasses, Hayley noted, “So not my style. Stay out of my house.” “Maybe it was worth losing my sunglasses after all,” Dani told Vanessa.
Kat Makes a Connection
Randy went to Orphey Gene’s and ran into Deanna. She told him that she crashed out on Joey in front of her mom. She spotted Kat walking in and said the person she was there to meet just walked in. Randy gave Deanna a hug, then she met with Kat, and they got a seat.
Deanna gave Kat some paperwork for her real estate deal, and they talked about what a great job she’d been doing working with her mom. Before Deanna left, Kat asked her who the guy was that she was hugging.
“That’s my dad’s friend. They basically grew up together; I’ve known Randy since I was a kid,” she said. “Randy?” Kat repeated. Deanna told her that he was always nice to her and Donnell, and went back to work as Kat watched Randy.
Meanwhile, Randy got a call from Joey and told him that she was no longer a serious threat; she was just an adult who was an emotional mess. Joey was sure that anything she did to break him up with Vanessa would be dealt with.
After Randy hung up, Kat hung out at the diner and ordered some peach cobbler. She told the server she wasn’t leaving until she was satisfied as she glanced at Randy.
Bill Tries to Make Peace with His Daughters
Bill went to Naomi’s and told her and Chelsea that he was sorry for how things went down. He said that he’d spoken to Hayley, but they could’ve handled things better, too. They countered that it wasn’t on them, and that the point was that he wasn’t taking care of his health.
“Or why Hayley isn’t encouraging you to take a more aggressive approach,” Naomi added. Bill reiterated that how he handled his health was his decision, and Hayley was supporting her husband’s choices.
Bill suggested that moving forward, they would respect boundaries, listening instead of being ready to argue at the drop of a hat, and calling first instead of just showing up — like he just did for them.
Chelsea said they could just stop coming over at all and fumed that it was Hayley making that rule. After talking to Chelsea about what it would mean to him if she made an effort, Chelsea agreed to the new rules.
