Beyond the Gates Recap Jan 12: Andre finds Bill in his Bedroom and his wife in Bill’s arms
In the Beyond the Gates recap for Monday, January 12, 2026, Carlton is welcomed to Ted’s talk, Bill can’t stay away, Naomi asks Ashley for help, and Ashley scores a date with Grayson.

At the club, Ted saw Andre, and they talked about the testing. Andre still didn’t know about the results; Ted said he wished he could be there for Nicole.
They saw Carleton come in, and Andre encouraged his uncle to chat with his best friend. He thought it was a rough time for Nicole, and if he couldn’t be the one supporting her, he should be glad she had someone there for her who cared.
“Well, since you put it like that…” Ted replied. Andre told Ted that life was too short to stay angry with the ones you love. Ted went to the bar where Carleton was and told the bartender, “I’ll have what he’s having.”
Ted said that Andre told him that he and Carleton had spoken about the testing and had encouraged him to sit down and talk. They talked about Andre being a good guy who had come through a difficult time losing his parents.
Ted said he knew a thing or two about losing the woman he loved, adding, “But I guess I don’t need to tell you that.”
Ted told Carleton he felt betrayed, but that was in the past tense. He said he screwed up and had no claim on Nicole’s heart because of his actions. He felt that seeing Nicole with Carleton still burned, but he appreciated that she was with someone who respected her.
Ted advised Carlton to watch for Nicole to try to handle things on her own and be there for her. Carlton thanked Ted for the talk. He said if Ted ever wanted to have a drink to remind him that he’s more than his mistakes, he would be there.
At the law office, Tomas went through his summary of how to address Lynette’s harassment case, but Bill was distracted, thinking about Dani and the testing. After the meeting, Hayley asked what was on his mind.
Bill got a call from Chelsea, and he immediately asked if they got the results. “Daddy, we need you,” Chelsea cried. Bill quickly left, telling a frustrated Hayley nothing about what was happening, only saying his family needed him.
Tomas came in and told Hayley that he’d had a message from Kat, and that Nicole tested negative for the BRCA gene. Hayley surmised that Dani tested positive and stomped her foot while complaining about Bill rushing off to be there for her.
Tomas told Hayley he understood her jealousy. He Bill-splained to her ,and she thanked him for talking her down from an emotional ledge.
Once alone, Hayley muttered that Bill could rush off and play hero, but Dani could mourn him at his funeral.
Later, Hayley called Randy to complain that Bill wasn’t dead yet. Behind her, Tomas overheard part of her conversation.
Naomi got to the hospital and saw Ashley. She told her about the testing and asked for help getting scheduled. Naomi snapped when Ashley told her it was okay to be scared.
“I’m not scared — I’m pissed!” Naomi told her. She rattled off the list of things that happened from Bill marrying her best friend, her mother pulling a gun at their wedding, Chelsea getting kidnapped, and Anita getting cancer.
Naomi thought she had five minutes of peace and now this.
Ashley let Naomi vent it all out, then tried to schedule the test for her but needed to ask a favor of Dr. Ahn’s assistant, Grayson. When she called, he asked her out for coffee.
Ashley said that Grayson was hot and he’d been slipping into her DMs since she changed her relationship status to available. Ashley was excited about where it could lead.
In Dani’s bedroom, Nicole and Dani talked about her test results. Nicole wanted to take care of Dani and held her while she sobbed. Nicole convinced Dani to take a bath while she checked on the others.
Downstairs, Naomi was frustrated with the hospital’s scheduling app, so she wanted to go to the hospital and do it in person. Chelsea offered to stay because someone needed to be there when Andre returned.
Once alone, Kat offered to call Bill, but Chelsea said she needed to do it.
Martin called Kat and asked to speak to Chelsea. He gave her some encouragement and told her he loved her.
Nicole came downstairs and comforted Kat and Chelsea. They told her how one of their ChelseaKat bags almost made it to the Golden Globes, but there was a last-minute dress change. Kat still saw the brightside and had hope for future opportunities.
Nicole reminded Chelsea that all Dani got was a risk increase, but it was not a diagnosis. She said that knowledge was power. Encouraged, Chelsea wanted to talk business again, so she and Kat left.
Nicole waited for Andre, but Bill came in instead. He insisted on seeing Dani, but Nicole told him she didn’t need his hurricane energy and was taking a bath. Before Nicole could stop him, he ran upstairs.
Nicole chased Bill up to Dani’s room, where he was holding her in his arms as she cried. “I’m here. I’m not going anywhere,” he told her softly.
Dani tried pushing him away a few minutes later, saying it wasn’t his role anymore, but Bill told her that it felt right. Dani said Vernon called him a comfortable old shoe.
Andre came home as Nicole came back downstairs. She told him the news, but firmly told him that it wasn’t a death sentence. She insisted that Dani needed support and no stress.
Andre wanted to see her immediately and tell her that nothing changed between them. Nicole said that Dani was in her room — with Bill. When Andre walked in, he saw his wife in Bill’s arms.
Andre let them know he was there, and rushed to comfort Dani. Bill told her not to worry as he was there when Dani needed a shoulder to cry on. Andre offered to walk him out. “That can’t be good,” Dani said to Nicole.
Downstairs, Bill thanked Andre for the escort service but noted he knew his way around the house as he used to own it. Andre told him he didn’t care what he used to own; if he found him in his wife’s bedroom again, they’d have a problem.
Bill tried rubbing it in that he was there when Dani needed him but Andre reminded Bill that when she needed him most was when he was her husband and he failed.
