Beyond the Gates Recap February 26: Kat Derails Leslie’s Livestream, Anastasia Gets Read By Anita

TL;DR: In today’s Beyond the Gates recap, Kat derails Leslie’s livestream, calling her a “homicidal homewrecker who tried to murder someone — twice.” Anastasia’s supposed support for Anita’s cancer quickly turns into an ugly attack, and Ashley urges a stressed Naomi to tell her family about her BRCA results.

Beyond the Gates Recap Feb 27

At the club, Anastasia saw Vanessa and others watching Anita’s interview and balked. But when she realized Anita had cancer, she was suddenly all about being supportive.

When Anita and Vernon came in, Anastasia asked how she could help, so Anita told her off. Vanessa chimed in, and Anastasia went after Vanessa’s criminal ties and Anita’s “tailfeather shaking” on stage before marrying into the Fairmont Crest elite.

Vernon threatened to have Anastasia’s membership revoked, and she settled back down again.

Vanessa joined Vernon and Anita at their table and talked about Anita’s interview. Vanessa shared how Deanna was struggling with Doug’s death and she still hadn’t come home. Vernon gave Vanessa some parenting and grief advice.

Ashley Gives Naomi a Reality Check

After watching Anita’s broadcast interview while at the cafe, Ashley tried to press Naomi to tell her family about her BRCA gene test results. 

Naomi bit her head off, then admitted she was stressed about Jacob going undercover and moving out because the case was dangerous.

Ashley understood the situation but still pleaded with her friend to share her situation with her loved ones. Naomi thanked Ashley for being a good friend.

Kat Wishes For Divine Intervention

At Nicole’s, Kat, Nicole, and Laura talked about angels. Laura had a flashback to her hit-and-run and was sure she had someone looking out for her that night.

Kat wished there was divine intervention to get Eva out of their lives and justice for Laura.

Leslie’s Press Conference

At Orphey Gene’s, Leslie told Eva that she was having a press conference to announce the clinic. She wanted Eva to help make it all happen. 

Eva scolded her for having no plan but Leslie wanted to task her with rounding up some people who needed her help to make it look good.

They tried doing a video of Leslie doing a walk and talk in the diner, but that didn’t work.

Leslie went to the club to ask Smitty for his help covering her launch as he was in the press, but he wasn’t interested after she took Samantha’s idea and cut her out of it.

Next, Leslie asked Vernon and Anita, but the best she got there was Vernon claiming he’d pass her info on to his publicist.

After that, Leslie went to Andre and Dani’s and asked them to hook her up with the press from Dani’s press conference, but that quickly deteriorated, and Andre kicked her out.

Leslie Goes Live

While Leslie was gone, Laura came into the diner and talked to Eva. She told her that despite their history, she chose to look at the good Eva brought to her life, like the new filing system she uses.

Leslie returned and decided they would do a livestream. Eva thought it would bomb but reluctantly agreed.

When Kat arrived to join Laura, she realized Leslie was doing a livestream and interrupted her touting how she was a pillar of the community. 

Eva turned the camera on Kat as she said, “This pillar of the community is a homicidal homewrecker who tried to murder someone — twice.”

Leslie wanted to defend herself, but Eva told her mom that they weren’t actually live, she was just recording and could cut that part out.

Leslie high-fived Eva for having her back, then turned to Kat. “You need to clip your claws, Kit Kat Brat, because your little temper tantrum won’t be televised today.”

Kat swore to Leslie that she would expose the things she’s done and make her pay for what she did to Laura and her mother, if it was the last thing she did.” Leslie just smirked.
