Beyond the Gates Recap February 11: Bill and Hayley Renew Vows, Nicole’s New Romance

TL;DR: In today’s Beyond the Gates recap, Bill and Hayley renew their vows; Nicole and Kial take their flirtation to the next level, much to Carlton’s dismay; and the Duprees and Belleclaires are on a collision course over the cotillion.

Beyond the Gates Recap

At the hospital, Ashley and Shanice were at the nurses’ station when Bill wheeled in Hayley. He wanted her to double-check that no one missed anything, as she’d felt some dizziness after her attack.

Ashley took Hayley into an exam room with Bill hot on her heels as Kial took her place at the station with Shanice.

While talking about a patient needing surgery, and Kial quipped that his hands were in demand. Nicole walked up and agreed, noting that his hands were dangerous in the beset possible way. Shanice’s eyes widened and chuckled as she tried to stay silent for the show.

Nicole flirted about how she was still feeling Kial’s touch the next morning. He suggested they go back to Uptown and pick up where they left off, and Nicole happily accepted the invitation.

When Nicole walked away, Shanice noted how close Kial and Nicole were getting and he told her that he was pretty happy about it.

Meanwhile, Ashley checked out Hayley and cleared her to leave again, noting that she was very lucky. Bill was relieved and told Hayley how much he loved her.

Dani Meets With Her Daughters

At the country club, Anastasia and her granddaughter, Francesca Belleclaire, were talking about knocking the Duprees down a notch by her winning the crown at cotillion when Dani came in.

They came over to Dani’s table to have a haughty conversation about Samantha not being prepared enough and how she’d likely embarrass herself at the cotillion.

Dani assured them that Samantha had three generations of Dupree women more than capable of being her mentor.

Naomi joined her mom and told her that Jacob was working undercover on a case. Chelsea came in and they all squealed with delight about her engagement.

Naomi lectured Chelsea about how much work marriage was and questioned if she was truly ready for it. 

Chelsea’s insecurities came out, and she wondered how she could prevent what happened to her parents’ marriage from happening to her and Madison.

Dani told Chelsea that there were things she could’ve done to prevent that situation, and it wasn’t typical of relationships.

Dani told her girls she was proud of both of them, and everything was looking up for the Dupreee women.

Anastasia and Francesca Can’t Help Themselves

Across the room, Anastasia and her granddaughter fumed at the Duprees’ happiness and how they always won. Anastasia assured her that there was nothing the almighty Duprees could do to get turn their wayward duckling Samantha into a swan in time for cotillion.

Anastasia and Francesca returned to Dani’s table to ask why they made a scene when Chelsea but Dani told her it was none of her business.

Anastasia suggested that Dani check in on Anita as the last time she saw her, she didn’t look too well. Anastasia suggested Anita was worried sick that Samantha would inevitably lose out at cotillion to Francesca.

Cotillion Training

Vernon was hoping for a little nookie when he and Anita were interrupted by Samantha, Jessica, and Tyrell, who told him that Anita invited them over.

Samantha was worried about the cotillion, but Anita assured her they would get her ready in time.

Jessica tried to bail, but Anita wasn’t having it. She handed them all dress shoes and white gloves and said they were going to dance.

After watching Tyrell and Jessica fumble, Anita and Vernon showed them how it was done, ballroom dancing a waltz, complete with a bow and courtesy before beginning.

Next was entrance training as Anita taught Samantha and Jessica how walk in with grace and pride. Jessica was invited to shelve her attitude and be an honorary Dupree for the night and walk with her head held high.

Vernon and Anita gave Jessica, Tyrell, and Samantha some encouraging words before showing them the door. Vernon got a text from Dani, checking in on Anita, but he told her all was good and not to worry.

Carlton Surprises Nicole, and She Returns the Favor

Nicole and Kial went home to change, then met at the bar. As they were kissing, Carlton walked in behind them.

Nicole cheerfully greeted Carlton, noting she didn’t know he was back from his trip. Kial got a drink so Carlton and Nicole could talk.

Carlton was upset, pointing out that the last time they’d seen one another, they were in bed together. 

Nicole told Carlton she was putting herself back together piece by piece, and he made her feel great, but she was going to keep dating others.

Carlton stormed out, and Nicole brushed it off, saying that she’ll have to start having her dates outside of the DMV. She asked if Kial really had nothing to say about Carlton.

Kial said he’d been there, and still was. He said they were both having fun and were fine keeping it right where it was. Nicole was more than satisfied with that answer, and they took it to the dance floor.

People in the bar cheered when the song ended after Nicole showed off her moves. Nicole suggested they get out of there, and brought Kial home to her bed.

Til Death Do Them Part

Bill brought Hayley back to a hotel so they could get the locks and alarms changed, since Hayley’s keys were stolen with her purse during her “mugging.”

Hayley was thrilled when Bill suggested they renew their vows, and they did it then and there, in the bed they were snuggled in. “To death do us part,” Hayley smiled as she laid her head on his chest.

Mood Swing

Carlton came in with some weird energy at the nurses’ station so Shanice questioned what was up. Carlton said he came back early to surprise Nicole but the joke was on him when he found her with Dr. Feelgood.
