Beyond the Gates Casting Alert: The show is expanding again — or at least, the staff at Fairmont Crest’s Garland Memorial Hospital is growing.

Beginning Friday, February 13th, 2026, actress Cecelia Specht will join the cast of Beyond the Gates, guest-starring as Dr. Lia Whitmore.
The 20-episode run will have Specht at the “center of the action.” With several health crises on the horizon, Dr. Whitmore could be involved in any of them.
It’s too soon to know whether or not the surgeon has blood on her hands for anything nefarious, but what we do know is that she is “the brilliant, battle-tested Chief of Staff at Garland Memorial Hospital.”
Dr. Whitmore’s life takes a sharp turn, shattering her confidence and forcing her to question everything she has ever stood for. Along the way, she will be drawing in the Dupree family and others into her web of deceit.
With Leslie’s mother in the hospital, and a clinic being opened, Dr. Whitmore could have to cross paths with that force of energy, or she could be involved in Anita’s cancer, Bill’s new diagnosis this week, or be related to any of her staff’s personal or professional lives.
Of course, with the amount of drama and romance increasing at the hospital, there are almost endless possibilities of which storyline Specht’s Whitmore will fit into.
Cecelia Specht on Beyond the Gates
Cecelia Specht is an actress, director, writer, and producer. She has a degree in Political Science and is a life member of the famed Actors Studio.
Specht’s first television job was on the long-running Australian daytime series, Neighbours. She has also appeared on The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives.
Cecelia Specht’s Dr. Lia Whitmore will be visiting Fairmont Crest for 20 episodes, from Friday, February 13th until May 26th, 2026.
