Days of our Lives Recap Jan 30: Gwen called Vivian, Marlena threatened Xander

In the Days of our Lives recap for Friday, January 30, 2026, Gwen reached out to Vivian, Belle and Kristen argued about Rachel’s case, Marlena let loose on Xander, and Leo decided to wash that man right outta his hair.

Brady met with Belle in the square and thanked her for taking care of Rachel’s case. When Belle was leaving, Sarah walked by and paused to say hi.

Once alone, Sarah seemed uncomfortable with Brady and eventually told him that Kristen made it clear she didn’t want her in his or Rachel’s lives because it antagonized Rache’s mental health treatments.

Brady brushed it off as Kristen being jelaous but Sarah noted that Marlena, Maggie, and Xander were all concerned if they were together. 

Regardless, Sarah and Brady wanted to keep seeing one another, but agreed that Rachel would need somewhere to go when she was released, that wasn’t sharing a roof with Sarah and Victoria.

Marlena told Xander she wasn’t happy about what he did to Brady and how it affected her family. She told him that she was moving her practice to the hospital.

Marlena said after consideration, she felt it was in Xander’s best interest that she continue as his therapist, but warned if he ever hurt her family again, she would drop him as a patient and not give a referral.

Xander agreed to her terms, and they had a session. He told Marlena about how he couldn’t find her after his fight with Sarah and ended up getting drunk. 

Xander wondered if Sarah and Brady were getting together to get back at him, but Marlena said whatever they were doing wasn’t his business. She encouraged him to focus on being a father and take up something to vent his frustrations, like boxing.

Kristen was with Rachel at Bayview, talking to her about what would happen in the judge’s chambers when she changed her statement and confessed to shooting EJ. 

Rachel noted that they were separating her and Sophia now and that they weren’t allowed any further contact. Kristen thought that was good and encouraged Rachel to get friends her own age. Rachel just wanted to go home. Kristen promised her that she would.

When Belle came in, she also went over what to expect, but added that the judge would have to decide whether or not there would be consequences. 

When Rachel left the room, Kristen blasted Belle for scaring her about the judge. Belle thought it was better that Rachel know everything rather than be surprised. 

Kristen insisted that EJ wasn’t there, as Rachel had expressed concern about it, but Belle said it was possible that the judge would want to hear from him. 

After Belle left, Kristen discovered a note from Sophia under Rachel’s toy snake telling her to wait until she heard from her. Kristen insisted that Rachel cut off contact.

At the DiMera mansion, Gwen and Dimitri bickered about his kidnapping and captivity. She insisted again that she wasn’t behind it.

Leo showed up and claimed he wanted to get Dimitri out of his system. Dimitri, however, took the opportunity to tell Leo how much he loved him. Leo pushed Dimitri away when he tried to kiss him.

Leo had a list of reasons why Dimitri was a horrible person, noting that Javi was the opposite. Declaring that he was now done, Leo left, and Gwen chuckled.

Irritated, Dimitri told Gwen again how much he couldn’t wait to be rid of her, and said that he could make her disappear the way she did to him if he wanted to. “Not if I get rid of you first,” Gwen muttered.

After Dimitri left, Gwen called Vivian Alamain. “Who is this?” Vivian barked. “Gwen Von Leuschner,” she said. “Ugh, that loathsome Dimitri’s beard,” Vivian sighed. Gwen asked if she still hated the Von Leuschners as much as she used to. “More!” Vivian growled. Gwen told her she was calling because she had a plan.
